  1. Thank you for replying. It makes sense. I get that the wedding creates limitations in her story. I just think that had she alternatively had married with the Tyrells, the balance in the game would be tipped so significantly that that would also make a bad story given how powerful the Tyrells were already becoming. So that wedding keeps the scales in the game more balanced storywise. (But you could argue, that Martin could have just not introduced the idea of marrying her to Willas in the first place to avoid that).
  2. I've heard some podcasts now talk about how the wedding of Sansa and Tyrion doesn't really lead to anything and that it's kind of unnecessary for the story. I've just always felt that it's hugely important, not for what it does in the story, but what it doesn't do in the story. This wedding is really important for the Lannisters preventing The Reach and The North from intermarrying and creating an alliance that would be a large threat for Lannister plans. It's actually one of the only smart moves that the Lannisters does through the entire series. Why do people brush this off as non-important? The entire political landscape and thereby the story would be completely different had Sansa married Willas and produced heirs. I'm not asking to spark a huge discussion. I'm just feeling like I might have some blind spot to why it might be less important that I think and would like to know.
  3. I tried to post a topic for the first time. It was supposed to be in the ASOIAF-forum but when I had posted it I was sent to the GoT-forum. And since I am waiting for a moderator to approve my post I don't know if it was posted the wrong place which would be a shame, because I don't want to give spoilers to people who are watching the show but haven't read the books... Can someone help me?
