  1. Well, the fantasy genre usually leads to a lot of speculation by readers mainly because of the many 'signs' and symbolism GRRM actually puts in his novels, which is really good for a complex story if we talk about quality in literature. This saga has not ended yet and that's how it functions. Theories are what makes the whole story interesting. Speculating. Overthinking all the possibilities. I agree that Martin puts a lot of his ego in the books but that's not necessarily a bad thing at all for what he does, it means he only uses the megalomaniac element as a resource for his novels. Also, I asume that D&D are trying to make the best adaptation they can do. I think they have made a lot of mistakes and sometimes I simply don't understand their choices but in other situations like hardhome for example they make out of nothing a really good change that went great in TV. For me the more development of characters like Ramsay or Joffrey works totally fine, even if they are psychopaths. Because that's how they're written.
  2. Anyone understands what are they trying to do with Brienne's storyline? seems really pointless to me unless somehow the Brotherhood shows up with LS, which is unlikely to happen. I feel like D&D have lost a good amount of time screen all through this season showing untrascendental arcs that are not that important to the whole story. Where was the point in showing 5 seconds of her this episode?
  3. I gave it a 9 out of 10, basically because the acting and writing was pretty good this time imo. We're really close to the climax so as the tension is set we are having a lot of awesome politics scenes such as the King's Landing ones. The performances by Diana Rigg and Jonathan Pryce slayed stunningly. Sophie and Alfie never disappoint either. Love the way they're trying to show how ferocious and threatening winter comes in the northernmost places at the time, seems adequate for what's to come. Dorne and sand snakes were the only scenes meh, the other storylines were widely more solid. I was expecting to see Braavos however, as the title of the episode was 'The gift' but I guess It's for the next time.
