  1. Oh come on... it wasn't the worst episode ever... there was some good. The whole walk of shame was rather well done I thought, as was the reveal of Frankenstein... er, I mean The Mountain... er, I mean Ser Strong. The stabbing scene was okay, not terrible, but okay - I thought Ollie was actually quite goos there, obviously stabbing Jon for his parent's sake, but eventually covering it up with "For the Watch". The Arya arc was pretty decent, too [although rushed at the end... could have used more conversation there, but...meh]. Of course, with the good you get the bad... the battle scene at Winterfell was awful. Brienne's revenge scene was alright, but no payoff either [is Stannis dead? Tune in next year... same bat time same bat channel]. But seriously, either Stannis is dead or Brienne is [got a whole year to argue that one right?]. Either way, it'd be nice to have Brienne or her sword near the wall when the WWs attack, right? And then there's the whoel Dorne thing, which I think has been dumb since the beginning of the season. It's far the from the worst episode ever... I think the first few episodes of this year were far worse... there were about 5 episodes which easily could have wrapped up into one, possible two, episodes. Least next year we'll get back to Bran's story.
  2. I'm just spit ballin' here, but since the Whitewalkers have domain over Ice as it seems [and death]... I would suggest that the WW will be able to walk right through the wall. There'll a ton of dead people to ressurect once they get to the southern side of the wall [heck... theres's a ton over by Winterfell right now].
  3. Its probably not THAT far from Winterfell to Castle Black... and even still... she can use magic to hurry her horse along.
  4. That's going to be hard to so... for it to be a recognized marriage, there's a couple of things that are going to have to happen 1] Ramsay dies so that Sansa could legally marry Theon in that senario. and 2] Theon's gonna have to grow his junk back so he can officially consummate the marriage [which seems to be the reason why Tyrion's marriage to Sansa doesn't count, as it was not consumated - a big deal amongst Nobles]
  5. I haven't read the books all the way through, but as far the show goes, I'd be willing to bet my next paycheck Melisandre will ressurect Jon in the same fashion as the Brothers Without Banners dude. The newly ressurected Jon will not be bound by the NIght's Watch vow (unless he chooses to uphold it). And the Watch members that did Cesaer poor Jon will have an "oh crap oh crap he was right" moment when the battle with the Whitewalkers hits Castle Black.
  6. I think Stannis sent Davos away knowing what he was going to do, so he didn't have to hear Davos second guess him. I'm pretty sure Castle Black doesn't have the food resources to feed Stannis' army on whim (it being winter and all) - and willing to bet Stannis knows this... but hopes Davos will be creative and find something else (like an onion farmer with a cellar full of onions, or something). On your point about the "i'm done watching" posts... I completely agree. I think the show went waaaaaay past the bounds of tastefulness showing a littel girl getting burned alive (its been pretty dicey in the past - but I chalk that up to a display of decadence). I'm pretty sure there could have been better ways to be less viceral whilst still getting all the pathos and what-not across.
  7. The only I remember seeing him that was of note was the movie Spy Game with Robert Redford and Brad Pitt. I thought it was a pretty decent movie... and he plays a d*ck in that movie, too.
  8. I think there's mostly liikely a number of things at play here. Tyrion's been the family "joke" his whoile like, his sister wants him dead, his father wanted him dead, etc etc etc. The Lannisters and Starks have "history". He has publicly stated (on more than one occassion) that Ned Stark was an honourable man, and IMO most likely admired him to some degree. By framing what he says to Dany in such a way, he can satisfy his dislike for his own family and his (possible) respect for Starks all in one go.
  9. And not only that (not to put too fine a point on it) but Dany has a clutch of Dragons on her side... not having Winterfell melted by dragonfire might be a motivation as well.
