So, according to Isaac Hempstead Wright, King Bran is actually a plotpoint from GRRM:

"[Creators] David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss] told me there were two things [author] George R.R. Martin had planned for Bran, and that was the Hodor revelation, and that he would be king. So that’s pretty special to be directly involved in something that is part of George’s vision. It was a really nice way to wrap it up."

Didn't they promise they won't specify any more what George told them what is sure to happen in the novel after Shireen backlash.

    They can't do anything right...

  2. Can't believe what huge pile of dragon manure , show turned out to be as a whole.

Westeros finally managed to reach political improvement almost to the level of Iron Islands, Bran the Broken will certainly make great king judging by one of d's words :

    Quote

I would make a better ruler than You, which is unquestionably true and Stannis would be terrible king most likely. Ahhm. Because he is, he just, lacks feeling for the common humanity over which he is supposed to rule.

He also can't have children so that will make realm really stable. Those lords accepting Bran the Broken and Sansa taking half the kingdom, Bronn taking the Highgarden, randoms on council is truly laughable. Edmure would be better if he never appeared.

Daenerys becoming Hitler, Drogon burning the throne just because, all the scenes dragging out, Arya the explora, Sansa "smartest" person Arya knows (since her company is d&d and show characters it isn't much surprise).

Grey worm saying "we are sailing to Naath", made me roll on the floor laughing.

I could berate it much more but all in all this show turned out to be huge disappointment, and as whole I give this last seasons and this episode rating of  1, I would give it -100 if possible.

If the story in the books is half similar , Martin just shouldn't bother, better focus on Wildcards, Dunk and Egg or F&B 2.

  3. I gave it 6/10, lot of things were off, but vibe was there. I find odd ending of Jaime and Cersei, Hound vs Mountain I quite enjoyed, Euron was pathetic and Golden Company freaking useless. Though I can't complain on most of the acting, some scenes really felt to drag on and battle felt too much one sided.

This though confirms Danenerys as the one of worst choices for the Iron Throne (possibly even in the books as "Dragons plant no trees." . Hope that someone gets rid of her next week and her familiar too.

Yeah. Dragon saddles should have been a thing by now. They're not in the books either, it's kind of ridiculous.

Maybe the dragons never fly upside down or sideways?

    ; )

Whole riding dragon without saddle reminds me of stupid Todd Packer joke about "Why don't witches wear panties" , im ashamed of myself for laughing right now.

  5. 6/10

Even when I am past caring and the writing still manages to disappoint me. Nice emoting from actors, Cgi is decent, though tension becomes boring at the point, most of the characters that die are minor and they didn't have much of a story arc anymore. There is lot of moronic tactic by the living especially Dothraki charge into their deaths.

Too much of use of zombies, not much of White Walkers,  Night King also dies like a wuss.

  6. Watching this and previous season made me feel like Arya watching theatre trope making parody of Game of Thrones events, ( fart jokes, tits, bad characterization, cheap laughs....)

It is really sad, considering how good start they had with earlier seasons for example when i remember death scene of Lady , Grey Wind were done great, emotionally and impactful. in contrast with Summer and maybe Shaggydog,  not to mention that then plot made sense...

    1/10

stannis did it with mel > d&d hate stannis > mel is the twin sister of maester aemon and not that wall smelting redhead.

because stannis can't catch a break even in death

Tbh i can imagine Stannis doing it with mel without glamour for the realm :) it would be more in character than burning Shireen for bit of snow
