  1. It's deeper than tree hugging. The families Targaryen and Stark carry elemental magical powers.
  2. Hope depends on Bran, Tyrion, and Dany working out a treaty for peaceful coexistence. They are the third children of their respective houses. I know Jon is a bastard and there are Sansa and Arya ahead of Bran. Sansa has turned away from her birth family. Arya turned away from humanity. I think Arya will die before the last chapters. It falls on Bran to carry on the family duties. Jaime and Cersei, no need to say more because they are disasters. Rhaegar and Viserys are gone and their job falls to Dany to fulfill.
  3. Marsh felled Jon Snow to save Westeros. Jon lacked the wisdom to keep his feelings in check. Jon was hurting the Order.
  4. The resolution at the end is a state of balance between ice and fire. Dany's journey follows our protagonists learning about history, cultures, and her family's past. She will negotiate with Bran to end the long night and convince him to send his wights back to the other side of the wall. Bran is learning as well but his immaturity is a hurdle. The success of the negotiation will depend on Dany's skills at handling an immature and angry Bran. A lot will be on Bran's shoulders. Any hopes of reconciliation and peace are very small as long as Jon and Arya are alive. Bran will need to put his bastard brother and big sister on a short leash for reconciliation to have a chance. The problem with the climate is not that it changes but because it is unpredictable and inconsistent. Nature is out of balance because the elements are fighting each other instead of learning to live with each other. On the Starks, the first and second sons (Robb and Jon) were failures because they were lacking the discipline and the wisdom to manage their feelings. The Targaryen sons (Rhaegar and Viserys) failed for largely the same reasons. The third children, Daenerys and Bran, are the hopes for a balanced world.

  6. Arya Stark could have gone unpunished for all of those crimes as long as House Stark was in power and the killings happened in the north. Arya Stark of the past enjoyed the same protection given to Ramsay. Bravos has its own laws and Arya is not covered. The Starks have also lost their power. Arya will get punished if she gets caught now. She will get immunity if she gets caught later when the Starks are back in Winterfell and masters of the north again. Madness is not enough reason to give her immunity from the gallows. The only thing that will matter is when she gets caught and which clan is in power.
  7. Arya gives off mad killer vibes. Arya will kill a lot of people and an entire town's population is on the table. The old lady mentioning wildfire and connecting Arya to Summerhal are clues.
  8. I have always been impressed with Dany from the time she jumped her horse over the fire pit on her wedding day. I knew then she is very special. She is a better leader. It doesn't mean Jon was bad at it but Dany is better.
  9. Revenge is not the point of the story but neither is forgiveness. Being able to work together with people they cannot forgive is the point. Those families who can put aside their hate and work with enemies for mutual survival will survive. That is not going to be the Starks unless Jon and Arya are both ripening 6 feet below ground. Serving the Others is what will enable the Starks to survive but they will be mankind's enemies. They will get their revenge on the Freys but it will cost them their humanity.
  10. The apparitions of kings in Dany's vision were the male versions of Azor Ahai long ago. The world goes through a cycle like the seasons. Man and nature adapt to the cycle. Humans build cities and increase their numbers. The Long Night destroys what they built and reduce their numbers. They rebuild and repopulate. Azor Ahai, Dany in this case, always rebuilds after the end of the Long Night.
