  1. Maegor was indeed excessive when he had the builders of the Keep executed to protect its secrets. But he is far less cruel if compared to Roose. No one would call Roose incompetent at leadership. Visenya saved the kingdom from others who would have brought ruin.
  2. It’s like if your dream came true. You want to touch because the dream has become real.
  3. We have diverged from the main topic. I admit this is on another subject. The act of valuing family over duty on its own is not necessarily insanity. But for Jon to do that while charged with the protection of the entire Westeros proves he is unfit to rule. It is proof that Jon is unfit to command and make big decisions. I think the premise of the main topic stays true.
  4. Too much for coincidence. The fathers and their children look guilty to me. Richard and the other elders were lured to Kingslanding because they were a threat. Brandon was forced to talk and confessed.
  5. And those Starks are slowly digging their own graves.
  6. Yup. Jon already failed. That’s past tense. He will be remembered as the one lord commander who ended the watch. Jon the Night’s King 2.0. The revolution to free the slaves will generally result in success. Dany will receive credit as the hero who made it possible.
  7. Yeah give Arya Stark the same treatment they gave Jon. Nymeria repeats her act and Arya comes back like Lady Stoneheart. A breathe of Ice from a White Walker revives Arya. Arya Stoneheart goes on killing just like LSH. The cycle goes around and around.
  8. Dany is very, very capable. The magnitude of the social changes needed at Slaver’s Bay is such that nobody else could do half as well as she has. The Masters and their evil objective to bring slavery back are to blame for the problems.
  9. His choices were unpleasant but there was a proper one. To continue with his oath and avoid meddling in Bolton’s politics. Jon’s duties were at the wall. Not rescuing his sister from a bad marriage.
  10. Shireen is the most probable spreader of Greyscale but at least she’s in the north.
  11. Rickon, Jon, and Arya looks the most savage by far. But Bran could surpass them all in vengefulness and level of evil. The trees do not show all of the data and Bran could lash out not knowing what Jon did to get himself assassinated.
  12. Bran is a bitter little thing with dangerous powers. Poor Bloodraven will be betrayed after he passes his knowledge to Bran.
  13. Arya is the one who has cracked her own sanity. Arya bought the ticket and boarded the bus heading to insanity land where she will join Catelyn.
  14. If I recall, the townsfolk were throwing things at Ned before his beheading. The O/P is correct about Sansa. Robb tried to break the kingdom. And Jon sent Mance to attack and murder the Warden of the North and steal his son’s wife. It looks very bad for the Starks.
  15. The plan was flexible and thus changeable. They were even undecided whether to kill Ned or not. The number of variables outside their control were too much for a firm plan. I believe Viserys was going to get the throne because it was his by right. Now the dragon eggs are the real puzzle. I am thinking the Sealords have been the custodians of the eggs. They were waiting for the proper Targaryen to come along and bring them back to life. They too must have prophecies guiding them. How the Sealord convinced Illyrio to give them to Daenerys is mysterious but he did. There are many hidden forces at work in Westeros moving pieces. I think it is the same in Essos. Somebody recognized Daenerys and moved people around to make sure she got the eggs. Somebody is following prophecies like scripts. This is probably the Sealord. He had plan 1 to marry Viserys to Artianne. He had plan 2 in case Doran is too chicken to play. Only somebody with godlike powers and devoted cult like following can end slavery. He meant Daenerys to become that person, Mhysa.
  16. Arya is not just trying to survive. She kills people for revenge. She even kills innocents like the old man and Dareon. Arya might be young but her crimes are many times worse than most adults in her world.
  17. It is very easy to dislike Arya because of what she does. It is even easier to find something to criticize and condemn about her.
  18. His actions are what caused chaos at the Wall. You bet the consequences for Westeros will be severe.
  19. Jon is already going crazy. He triggered an ill-advised conflict with Ramsay just to take and hide his sister from the Boltons.
  20. Arya will be guilty of multiple homicides. Life imprisonment is so far appropriate.
  21. The Starks. They practice human sacrifice. They warg and skin change. They rebelled twice. Bastard son of the House betrayed the night’s watch. Bran intrudes on poor Hodor’s mind.
  22. Lock Arya in the dungeons in King’s Landing. She’ll be eating fish head soup and sleeping on the floor.
