Rafford. That was revenge.

It’s a long way to Castle Black. We can only hope the road ends for Arya before she gets there.

Arya’s crimes are not shoplifting and spraying obscene graffiti. It’s not training wheels for something better. Those acts will not turn her into a better person. Arya kills people. Not once but many times. Her arc is slowly moving towards more murders.

She has empathy to an extent. She felt sorry for Dontos. But that good side of her do not override the selfish part. It is that last trait which make me believe she is capable of poisoning Sweetrobin.

I am afraid for King’s Landing and The Twins. Arya will not even think twice about sending thousands to their deaths.

HH wants Sansa for a playmate. He’s not interested in marrying an illegitimate girl. Sansa will only kill Sweetrobin if HH is willing to marry her. She has nowhere to go and nothing to gain by killing SR unless a betrothal to Harold is guaranteed.

Volantis and Qarth will see a revolution. -
The Shakespearean Tragedy of Daenerys Targaryen
Moiraine Sedai replied to The Bard of Banefort's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Daenerys was put in a bad situation with the marriage. Through her superb intelligence and wits, she sought the information needed to turn that seemingly hopeless situation into a great opportunity. By contrast, Jon came to the Wall with unearned advantages as the illegitimate son of the Warden and one of the Watch’s donors. Jon has his own skills as a leader, but Dany is better in that regard. -
The Shakespearean Tragedy of Daenerys Targaryen
Moiraine Sedai replied to The Bard of Banefort's topic in General (ASoIaF)
The throne passed to Prince Viserys. Viserys became King Viserys III at the death of Aerys. Dany is his heir. The line of succession transferred to Viserys and Daenerys. -
Is Stannis in Denial about Wanting to be King?
Moiraine Sedai replied to Craving Peaches's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Doubtful whether he spent much time in pondering the question. He was not expecting to become king. Then relatives died and the door opened. It is about having the right to throne, in his opinion. He feels it’s his and that is that. -
Catelyn apprehended Tyrion for the attempted murder of her son, Brandon Stark. Tywin retaliated by attacking the Riverlands. Catelyn was at least willing to give Tyrion a fair trial. The raid on innocent villages was over the top reply from Tywin. Sending a learned scholar to the eyrie to advocate for Tyrion was the fair thing. How should the Lannisters respond?

Worst plan ever made in the saga ?
Moiraine Sedai replied to Terrorthatflapsinthenight9's topic in General (ASoIaF)
I will have to point fingers at the Starks. Jon, Robb, Cat, and Sansa were all bad upstairs. I’ll pick on Sansa this time. Going to Cersei, spilling the beans to convince the Lannister to force her daddy to let her stay with Joffrey at KL. -
Hope for the Frey family
Moiraine Sedai replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
I agree. I don’t like it but their hopes are few. Too bad. The Freys are cool. -
Hope for the Frey family

It can be described as a suicide bomb. But the Freys and Roose did not know. Or they knew but had no other way to beat Robb. -

George is setting the family up for a fall but many will survive. Like those away from the family castle. -
Hope for the Frey family
Moiraine Sedai replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Cat, GW, and Robb died. Three Starks. Only three. More of the Freys family have been killed. It’s enough. The Starks got their revenge. -
Tyrion Lannister: Good or Bad, or Something in Between?
Moiraine Sedai replied to Jaenara Belarys's topic in General (ASoIaF)
He was bitter about life and wanted to get back at Cersei. Refresh my memory, but the manipulation took place shortly after Aegon’s outburst during the cyvasse. -

Tyrion is dark. He set Aegon on a self destructive path. -
Characters Who Married Up

Eustace married Rohanne. He was a lord who supported the BFs and lost. She’s younger. -
Random Thoughts About ASOIAF

Ghost Grass is the eastern equivalent of the Weirwood. Both are primal. -
Daenerys is Azor Ahai Reborn
Moiraine Sedai replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Saving the living from the northern threat could be one of the reasons why the Targaryens came to mainland Westeros and united the people. Azor Ahai will do the same with the help of her three dragons. -
Daenerys is Azor Ahai Reborn
Moiraine Sedai replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
The boys are pawns of one mummer or another. The ones who will burn are the traitors. MMD was the first. Two more will burn for treason. It’s not Stannis’ fault for believing he might be Azor Ahai. He has never met Daenerys, the real Azor Ahai. Mel’s tricks are somewhat convincing. But the lie will be uncovered and it will ruin Mel’s credibility. -
