In my head canon medieval world people are not woke and only roles the Faith will allow any woman to have are maiden, mother and crone. Any woman who tries to rebel against that natural order is either witch or whore. So sexism is natural and vital part of world building and so any woman who does not accept her role will fail and will suffer consequences of her rebellion against natural order.

My theory is that reason why Hardhome was destroyed was failed Valyrian raid. Or they invaded HH but local wargs defended themselves by trying to take over invading dragons which made those dragons mad and everybody and everything was burned down by those rampaging mad dragons. Naturally including most of invading Valyrians. So for Dragon Lords Westeros seemed to be a place where dragons go mad.

Would it be easier to kill rider(s) of dragon(s) instead of dragon(s)? After all without partner a dragon becomes huge flamethroming and flying headless chicken that would be a danger anyone who just happens to be too near of it but less dangerous to enemies of those late dragonlords.

Could mother of Jesus be some kind mythological incarnation of that ancient fertility goddess? After all She seems to be very popular. For instance EU uses Her symbol as national symbol.

I assume that Luwin served Riverrun and House Tully until he came to north with Cat. Another possible member of "her" staff that came with her could be Septa Mordane. Or I assume that both Luwin and Septa Mordane came from Riverrun with Cat so that she would have some people she could trust and also give some means to House Tully to effect policies of WF.

I assume that Gods Eye was major reason why HH was build there. After all as long local garrison has access to that lake they could move supplies and people to/from HH and also have access to that unnamed river that flows south to the Blackwater Rush. So anyone who would want to siege that castle would need to have their own navy to stop that happening. Or having 1 huge dragon but Harren did not think about that when he started to build his new capital. There is also a possibility that Harren wanted to use Harrenhall as a base to conquer Stormlands. Or he wanted to use that access to Blackwater Rush as a way to invade that kingdom. After all having strong castle supported by all wealth of Riverlands should have made that invasion much easier but unfortunately for him someone with access to 3 flying flame throwing lizards strike b4 Harren could launch his own invasion against Stormking. Besides that huge lake should include lot of fish so anyone living there during long winters should survive longer than anyone who does not has access to any fish. Or in some weird way Harren tried to create copy of Iron Islands by making sure that his new capital can feed herself by fishing and raiding.

I am surprised that nobody had mentioned religion as a reason why electing Bran as a king would be very bad idea. After all kings who had sat on Iron Throne had been at least nominal followers of 7. Or his election would give very strong excuse for anyone who wanted to rebel against IT. After all the Faith has millions of followers and there are thousands of septs, septons and septas in all 7 kingdoms except in Iron Islands.

Actually we do not know that. In fact it is possible that Lyanna was kidnapped and raped by orders of Aerys II bc he wanted to carry out bloodline theft. Or he wanted to kill all male Starks so any child of Rhaegar and Lyanna would be only heir to Winterfell. There is also bonus option that A2 wanted also replace too Dornish children of Elia. Boltons and Freys will win Battle on Ice and victorious Roose will sacrifice captured Stannis to Old Gods by flaying him and he will use blood of his victim to make his blades sharp. Magic has returned to Planetos and so ancient rituals that had not worked without available magic will now work and bc Stannis had Royal Blood the sword Roose blessed with royal blood will ignite and so Roose will have flaming sword.
