  1. I think the even before the ep aired or right after there were an absurd number of people voting 10. I saw it and there were like 60K people giving it a 10... IT just broke any ranking sistem... If the ep ends up with 8.5 will be a victory because it is as low as ep have gotten with the exception of the ep sansa is raped...
  2. are you saying she runs from some wights because she is concussed? Because the only effect from the collusion is her dripping blood when she is hiding...
  3. It is an excelent vídeo. Very acurate.
  4. That would have been FANTASTIC and a good reference book lore.
  5. ok. If you prefer then. There must be events that can be interpreted as fulfiling the profecies. Therefore when you look back you must be able to say these characters did this so they may be AA/ptwp...
  6. If the events in the profecy happened then the profecy has come true…
  7. Come on… Don t you know why the targs leaft valyria? the duncan and egg profecies that have come true? The valoncar profecy? The house of the undying profecies that some of the events have already come true? It is a theme in asoiaf that true profecies always come true. The problem is that they dont come true in ways that people expect. Writing a story full of prophecies and they always being false would be an awfull story...
  8. profecies made by people that actually have the gift of profecy. They all come true... In both mediums it has been pretty clear that AA will defeat the darkness. Basically stopping the long night is the objective of AA… And I think you are completly wrong. At least we will have several people that will be crucial to defeat the others and therefore AA should be a group of people. Writing a profecy, focusing on the profecy for years and then ignore the profecy completly in order to surprise the audience is one of the worst ideas I can imagine. It is reaaly bad writting. There is no other way to describe it The problem is that you can t build suspense and tension for years and then don t deliver a fitting conclusion. It just serves to frustate people. Even if I ignore the ptwp profecy danny, jon and bran have been build for years to have important roles in this battle. So even if arya gave the last hit each of them should have had their moment when they damage the NK and it is their combined efforts that puts him in a position to be killed by arya. I could support this. However neither of these characters did anything noteworthy in this battle. And mainly for jon and bran it ruined their story. They have been preparing for this for years and they do noting! It is all resolved by a character that was arrogantly wanting to meet the ww last ep and then kills the baddest ww… It is awful writting and build up! And even if you say jon has ties to the IT. The thing is that the r+l=j was so poorly handled that jon has no motivations or objectives for this next conflict besides helping danny get her throne. He has no invested interest in KL… All his focus has been with the others. The problem is that there is no build up between arya and the ww besides her arrogance that she can t wait to meet them. Even if she killed the NK she shouldn t be one of the major characters in this battle. They should have given their moments to bran, jon, danny, the dragons… Even Jamie deserved his moment more than arya given that he left his sister for this fight. The episde doesn t come off as subverting expectations. The most I take from the episode is that it fails to deliver to all the tensions and stories that the series has created for years. I mean, nobody fought against the ww, the NK never did anything else besides raising the dead, all the characters did all ep was kill nameless wights… the surviving characters didn t have epic fights, nobody killed viserion… Besides it didn t answer any of the questions about the ww (why are they attacking now? what have they been doing? How did the NK turn against the cotf? why is he attacking humanity? etc...)
  9. But the thing is that faceless men aren t super masters of weapons that kill people because their amazing weapon skills. They use disguises, poisons, spying and things like that… Arya being a faceless men doesn t make her the best weapon's master in the world… It doesn t justify that she should be the one to kill the NK because she is an assassin and even less justifies her doing it the way she did. As you said, it would make sense if arya was disguised and while the NK was fighting with several people she would sneak behind him and stab him. But we needed the other characters to do things that justified their story arcs so far! And I just can t see arya not having a major role in the battle of KL and at the same time don t want her to do anything special… It will just be meme material...
  10. First, there is a diference between having an universe where everything can happen and spending years saying how important some characters to fight the NK and having suspense building for a conflict only to have jon, bran, danny and the dragons doing noting noteworthy. And in grrm world all profecies come true, it just might not be in the way people expect them. Speaking about the profecy of tptwp for seasons only to when the time comes simply ignore it and go for a WOW moment is horrendus writting. I mean, we had mel talking about the profecy to danny last season and this year we are suposed to Forget about it? It is like people aren t even trying to write a coherent story... Arya killing the NK alone is something completly undeserving taking into account the story arcs of jon, bran and danny. Arya's arc is related to assassinate people on her list and balancing being arya stark with no one. She should have an importante role in the battle of KL. It is what makes sense in her story. What happened in the episode just made bran becoming the 3er completly useless What does he even do? What was the point of creating all the hype between jon and the NK if they never fight? (it is the same as if the mountain and the hound are ready to cross sword and sudenly tormund kills the mountain) why was it importante for danny to come north? She just gave a dragon and her dothriaki to the NK while she was lost in a fog half the ep… What did jon do in the battle that his entire story in got prepares him for?
  11. Even worse. He learned about it and 5 min later he was ok. Like his parentage didn t affect him at all… There wasn t a reaction...
  12. Agreed. We once again have things happen not because it makes sense in the story but to please external agendas... And the prince that was promised prophecy is a thing in the show. Mel talked about it with Danny last season... Guess it was less important than subvert people's expectations
  13. I am just realizing that we had an ep with dragons, wights, ww, giants and direwolves... And amazingly the only epic moments were theon's and Jorah's death... How sad is that? The most hyped ep in the series had amazingly few epic fights...
  14. The only way to have any story is for Cersei to kidnap either Jon or Danny. In the show I bet we will have a super silly plot about a small groups of people going inside kl to kill Cersei and her pal while the rest fight a battle in order to distract her armies
  15. That is a good question. What is the point of jon's life now? have sex with danny?
  16. But it just made so many things people have been discussing about for years completly irrelevant! I can t understand how fans of asoiaf could make this ep/season. The AA/ptwp is one of those things that should be respected about asoiaf when filming got...
  17. I would much prefer that they go for arya in KL than now. I don t see any reason to give a big moment to jon in the upcoming battle in KL where all his story has been about the ww. And we have been told several times about how the show will mimic the books. I just don t see how it can be true at this point...
  18. the profecies come true in asoiaf. However they don t mean what people are expecting… But they COME TRUE!
  19. THAT IS HOW I FEEL. If they wanted arya to kill the Nk what they should have done is having her disguised as a wight. Then we have a bunch of characters (bran, jon danny, mel…) fighting the NK together and slowly weakening him and when he is distracted about to obtain victory she can stab him in the back. I could suport that. However her killing the NK alone is awfull!
  20. seriously? Would you be satisfied if j'aqqen decided to kill arya and some character completly unrelated to the faceless arc killed him?
  21. And if after having a bunch of character having their story being almost about the ww all his book arya defeats the dead alone I will also say it is bullshit. What was the point of bran? what did danny do besides giving a dragon to the NK? what the fuck did jon do the entire batle?
  22. If we are being honest the NK doesn t seem to exist in the books...
  23. So after all the build up that other characters had to be important in defeating the dead you are satisfied with arya killing the NK alone? seriously?
  24. I think in terms of big batles it was clearly the worst. Not only we couldn t see anything but they didn t add ww to the fight so that we could see some duels. It was just mindless zombie killing. Then the idea of adding the fog in the darkness was awfull. It destroied nearly all the dragon scenes… Even the rhaegal vs viseryion was barely watchable... And I hated the NK death. We have bran, jon and danny being developed to be important figures in the fight against the dead and the NK is killed by a solo arya that was bragging about wanting to fight the dead in the last ep!?? ps the scene with arya running in the library was just too long...
