  1. There's parts of this that back up my feeling that Dawn is the original Ice. And the original ice may have been a blade of the other, but also a blade that potentially brought the dawn. I also don't think you have to be a Dayne to wield the sword, I think the Daynes are just protectors. It will be pretty Interesting to see how they determine who's worthy though.

    Will Jon be Dany's heir

I get it people saying Jon is ahead of her in the line of succession if R+L is confirmed but surely Daenerys would potentially sit the throne because of right of conquest.

GRRM: Speculation that Aegon "the Conqueror" knew about the Others

I've thought this for a few years, there's got to be a reason why he all of a sudden decided to conquer and unite the seven kingdoms. I wonder if there was a red comet the day he decided to conquer. I think we will know how much the Targaryens knew about the long night if we ever get to see The signs and portents book.

Songs that Make Us Think of A Song of Ice and Fire

Lana del Rey - Change. From her new album Lust for life. It makes me think of the whole series, how life as the characters know it has changed from the minute We open the first book. It makes me think of The Others coming and the desperation and heartbreak the characters are going to suffer. But it also makes me think of the spring that will arrive in the end.

[Poll] How would you rate episode 604?

I thought this was the best episode so far this season. Dany kicked ass.

    [No Spoilers] EP601 Discussion

I feel like D&D are taking a huge gamble diverging from the novels. It's okay to do it in bits but they need to be careful trying to rush it. I understand that there's no more novels to refer to but I don't believe Grrm didn't offer a brief outline of how TWoW would go. They've missed a trick in not allowing Doran to be a master schemer in this season it could have erased the damage of the sandsnakes from last season. They've got to be careful because diverging too much could mean diverging from what GoT is all about

    [TWoW Spoilers] Barristan

I think you're right, I think Asha will lead the iron born at some point, probably when Dany gets to Westeros. I can't wait for Tyrion to tame Viserion

    [TWoW Spoilers] Barristan

It's funny that everyone thinks Victarion is going back to Westeros with Daenerys. He's going to get burnt or eaten by Rhaegal or Viserion and Daenerys will have her ships to sail for Westeros
