  1. Jhogo, Aggo, and Rakharo are the three young Dothraki men who guard Daenerys.  These three are her Bloodriders.  They are part of her growing number of Queensguards.  Ser Jorah and Ser Barristan are the two from Westeros.  Three cadets are in training to join.

The term "Bloodrider" changed and acquired more meaning after Daenerys became the Mother of Dragons.  It is said that one needs to have Targaryen blood, the blood of the dragon, in order to bond with a dragon.  That normally means carrying Valyrian genes.  And that is acquired from birth.  But Daenerys is special.  Just as she was reborn and became the Mother of Dragons, the Unburnt, Azor Ahai, etc.  The Bloodriders were also reborn.  It's like getting baptized.  The day they knelt to Daenerys they became blood of the dragon.  Not just as her bodyguards but kinsmen by blood through bonds forged by magic.  She refers to them many times, blood of my blood.  Daenerys saying that carry more significance than someone else saying it.  I am not saying the Bloodriders will ride dragons.  Perhaps one will.  It fits the story to have one of the riders be a Dothraki.

  2. It's the story of Azor Ahai told another way.  The Dothraki spun the story according to what they know about in order to make it make sense in their reality.  They know horses, grass, and khalasars.  So this great leader will mount the stallion and bind the khalasars together to follow her.  It is the same event just seen from the eyes of different people and they composed tales and legends for their own people.

The Tully sisters went mad.  Catelyn Tully-Stark and Lysa Tully-Arryn were showing signs of madness and emotional fragility.  Lysa had it from her youth to her death.  Catelyn lost it at the wedding.  She cut Aegon Frey's throat and killed him.  Catelyn went mad that minute.  There is insanity in the Tully blood.  Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran, and Rickon are half Tully.  Cat's brood inherited the gene predisposing them to insanity.  I know stress can trigger the disease.

Sansa and Arya.  The Tullys are passing the gene down on the females.  The Targaryens passed it down through their males.

  4. SmK is my favorite Ghiscari.  I believe his loyalty to Dany is genuine and he can be trusted to enforce her will.  The Brazen Beasts is a fine component for an Anti-Terrorists force.  It was a great idea to hide their faces while they maintain order within the city of Meereen.  They are my second favorite of Dany's military forces.  The Unsullied are my favorite, then the Brazen Beasts, and the Dothraki.  That could change if the cadets and recruits in training were to prove their loyalty and dedication.

  5. I like reading the POVs of the characters which I like.  This is character-driven, coming of age story.  My favorite of all is Daenerys.  I find myself enjoying the stories in Slaver's Bay and the Dothraki Sea much more than the one in Westeros.

    1. Daenerys
    2. Brienne
    3. Quentyn
    4. Barristan

Among the non-povs, I like Greyworm, Missandei, and Belwas.  Goofy Belwas is a really fun character.

  6. The biggest threat to the Freys are Arya and the White Walkers.  Arya will attempt to murder all of the Freys.  The White Walkers will get through the wall and might make it to the riverlands with the help of the Starks.  Most of the Freys do not live in the Frey castles and are therefore safe from Arya's wrath.  The double threat of a crazed assassin named Arya and the army of White Walkers will kill many of the Freys but they will not go extinct.

Roslin.  Arya is blinded by hate.  Poor Roslin will not receive Mercy from Arya.

  7. House Stark has a bad reputation in the South.  They are known for treason and rebellion.  Eddard confessed to treason and the people reacted with hostility.  The public may not have liked their mercurial King Joffrey but they also condemn treason.  We the readers are privileged to know the reason why Eddard tried to take control of the kingdom away from Cersei and Joffrey.  But the commoners and the nobility are not.  They only know what they heard and what they witnessed.   It is also very much in doubt whether the Starks will be able to prove that Joffrey was not a Baratheon and thus was not the legal heir.  Catelyn Stark is known as the Lady who drew the lion into battle when she ordered the arrest of Tyrion.  She also murdered an innocent boy at the Red Wedding.  Sansa is forever tainted as an accomplice to King Joffrey's murder.   The Starks will never be able to prove that Jaime Lannister had tried to kill Bran.

There are only two people alive who can salvage *some* of the Stark reputation and honor.  Jaime and Cersei Lannister.  Cersei has not done so for understandable if not selfish reasons.  Jaime has had many opportunities to help salvage the Starks' public image and reputation but he has not done it.  Will Jaime confess the needed information to redeem the Starks?

*Some of the reputation can be salvaged.  Perhaps Eddard was right to displace Cersei and Joffrey.  Jaime tried to kill Bran Stark and that was an insult to guest rights.  Let me repeat, Jaime broke guest rights.  Sansa knew nothing about the assassination of Joffrey until it happened.  But the fact that Robb rebelled and Jon broke his vows at the Wall, those are not redeemable.

It isn't really surprising.  We saw Catelyn lose her mind early on.  Take this chapter from the first book.  It happened after the assassin tried to kill her crippled boy.  The wolf saved Catelyn.  The wolf licks the blood from Catelyn.

    The men found her laughing.

Two sisters going crazy.  It puts their children in danger of losing it as well.  Arya will experience mind-breaking stress after she hears what happened to Jon at the wall.  She will go on a murderous rage.  It's the final straw as Arya tries to hang on to her sanity as well as her humanity.

Arya will follow the same arc as her mother.

Ok this has been driving me crazy for a long time now. A ton of people think Varys/Illyrio's plan was for Dany and Viserys to cross the Narrow Sea with a Dothraki horde, cause chaos, then Aegon swoops in with the GC to save the day and become a "savior king". It's been repeated many times and a ton of people treat it as canon.

Except that "plan" is nowhere in the text! It's not even hinted at. It's a complete forum creation. That was not, is not, and never was the plan.

We have little to no idea what's up with Varys and Illyrio plain and simple.

Correct, the author has not yet revealed what the original plan was.  Theorists with many biases love to spin tales but the answer is we do not yet know.  What is known and clear is none of their original plans, whatever they may be, matter now.  The hatching of her Dragons, and her rise to become Azor Ahai, made Daenerys the most important as well as the strongest claimant to her father's Iron Throne.  Her identity as Princess Daenerys Targaryen, Rightful Ruler of Westeros, cannot be doubted.  No other claimant can prove their identity as a Targaryen with any reasonable degree of certainty.

Yes, how stupid of this little girl who has been abused, traumatized, & mentally manipulated to no end for not being "smart" enough to play the game with the master players.

Seriously, give constructive criticism of the character but why do people insist on saying things like this when they clearly aren't true. What has Sansa done to prove her self so "stupid" and "selfish"?

Sansa is hopeless in math.  She didn't see the consequences of going to Cersei with her dad's plans.

Jon was a very bad choice to fill the shoes of Lord Commander.  He should have stayed at training the recruits.

Jon was assigned to the stewards and that is a good place where the officers can keep watch over him.  He was just too arrogant to appreciate it.

Daenerys will become a fine ruler for the people of Westeros.

She will be.  There will be few of the Westerosi left after the war of the five kings.  I believe they will have to cross over and migrate to Essos where Daenerys will begin a new Great Empire.

Sweetrobin is slowly being poisoned.  It is not yet a crime of murder because the child is still alive but Sansa is part of the insidious plot to murder the child and take all that is his.  Will Sansa go through with the murder?  The odds are close to even but does lean lightly to Sansa doing the crime.

Look back on Sansa's past and tell me what you think.  Tell me what you think will happen.

Sansa doesn't have the brains to put together a plan for herself.  She is dependent on those who want to use her as a pawn for their own games.  It's Sansa's lack of brains and her selfishness which will make her do something like this.

Does anyone else get the feeling that Stannis, despite all his protestations to the contrary, does actually want to be king very much? He denies it and goes on about his duty, but I think inside he would like all the recognition and power in entails. He seems quite bitter about being overshadowed by his brothers. There is also the fact that he has done some questionable things to get a throne he says he doesn't want. I know he goes on and about duty and law, but I think at some point you have to wonder if those are really all that motivates him. And if he was so concerned about duty, why did he abandon Robert?

He attacked King's Landing.  Actions speak louder than words.  He wants the power of a king at least.  That in itself is not corrupt.  What offended me about him is pretending to be Azor Ahai. He will be exposed as one of the three lies though.  The first of the lies according to the prophecy given to Daenerys.

  14. People die during a rebellion and the Starks started it.  Robb and his banners knew the risk but they decided to go to war anyway. There are enough suffering inflicted on the Freys to avenge a violation of custom.  The sons of the lord of the house have been systematically and cruelly murdered by LSH and her bitter band of troublemakers.  Daenerys Targaryen is not going to approve the murder of the Frey family.  She may agree to the executions of Black Walder and Lame Lothar though.

The story of Azor Ahai is that of somebody who could do what needed to be done.  Daenerys proved that she is that person.  She's a better ruler and leader than Robb Stark, Cersei Lannister, and Jon Snow ever were.  The men could not conquer the desires of their heart and put those in front of their duties.  Daenerys put her preferred lover aside in order to attempt a peace with the people of Meereen.  She deserves to rule.

I agree.  A swordsman is not going to defeat the White Walkers. The kings of old, the ones with glowing swords, failed.  It will take dragons to defeat the White Walkers.

There will be little resistance to religion later on.  The white walkers and their wights will reduce Westeros to tiny tribes and villages.  The survivors of the Ice Age will be few.  Each will have its own way of worshipping.  Daenerys may not even bring R'hllor to Westeros.  She uses religion as a tool.  She will do what she needs to accomplish the task of building an empire.

Daenerys Targaryen and Bran Stark are the Sun and the Moon.  She is the sunlight and Bran is the dark of night.  Just as the Sun and the Moon do not occupy the same sky at the same time, Daenerys and Bran can't share space.  It's the age old Sun and Moon chasing each other across the sky.  Azor Ahai chased the darkness and it fled.  Daenerys will chase away Bran's darkness to return the light to Westeros.

Azor Ahai and her dragons will usher in the new dawn after the ice has receded.  The wights can be burned away as we saw in the Trident vision.  This army of ice will consists of wightified northern people led by a Stark.  So yes, it will be a fight between the fire of the dragons and their allies against the ice of the Starks and the White Walkers.

    Like and agree.  :)
