  1. The author intended for the Unsullied to be a superior fighting force to what Westeros can call together.  That is what matters.  Things like testosterone doesn't matter.  Most of what Westeros can call together are not going to be in prime physical condition.  Where as the Unsullied are all in fine physical fitness and are mentally ready for battle.  The Dothraki riders are also fit and ready for battle.

Arya is one of the more frightening people in song of ice and fire.  She is literally as volatile as wildfire.  She has the murderous skills of the faceless men, the fierceness and vengefulness of the wolf's blood, and top that with mental instability.  The faceless men will never be able to control her.  She will moonlight and murder more people.  Arya answers to nobody but herself and that is another danger.  She has lost her morality.

The comparison to wildfire is accurate.  Add Arya's short fuse and bad temperament.  Traits which she shares with Jon Snow.  The techniques she learned from the FM give her the means to murder.  She now has the means and the motive to murder a lot of people with ease.

I want to shine a ray of hope for the Frey family and their supporters.  The Freys will not all die.  I do not believe they will all die and they do not deserve to.  But this cannot be said with certainty because I am not Martin.  The fate of House Frey will depend on who holds power.  If it's the Starks, it's goodnight to House Frey.  We already know what Arya Stark would do. Murder all of the Freys she can.  Arya is just demented enough to poison the entire family.  At least she would make the attempt.  The family will fare no better if it's Jon Snow who gets to decide their fate.  Jon was not a forgiving man even before he was assassinated.  He will be thirsting for Bolton, Marsh, and Frey blood when he returns.

There is hope for the Freys.  The following passage is a quote from one of Daenerys Targaryen's chapters in A Clash of Kings

Farther on she came upon a feast of corpses. Savagely slaughtered, the feasters lay strewn across overturned chairs and hacked trestle tables, asprawl in pools of congealing blood.  Some had lost limbs, even heads.  Severed hands clutched bloody cups, wooden spoons, roast fowl, heels of bread.  In a throne above them sat a dead man with the head of a wolf.  He wore an iron crown and held a leg of lamb in one hand as a king might hold a scepter, and his eyes followed Dany with mute appeal.

This is a scene from the red wedding and the man asking for justice is Robb Stark.  Daenerys Targaryen will take control of Westeros and ascend to her father's throne.  The throne which is hers by right.  The Starks will demand revenge on the Freys and might even make it a condition to peace.  Daenerys will moderate with objectivity, intelligence, and thus fairness.  She will restrain the Starks from carrying out a complete destruction of the Freys.  Lame and Black Walder will lose their heads to the axe.  The lord of the house, Walder, will be spared because of his age.  A few of the sons may also receive the death penalty.  But at least the Frey family will remain largely intact.

The scenes in the house of the undying were shown to let Dany know what is happening back home.  It's to better prepare the young lady to assume her father's throne.  Not that there will be a trial as that is unprecedented for a family feud and are usually settled through warfare.  The Starks will have a throw down with the Lannisters and the Freys before Dany comes.  The scenes serves only to inform Dany why the families fought and may help her find a way to hold Westeros together.

@Wm Portnoy This change in gender is the thing that will correct the wrongs of the past.  Nothing will change unless the dynamic between people changes.

@Finley McLeod The parallels for sure exists.  It is only one of the many.  Dany and Jon are parallels too because they were both tossed outside of civilization.  The Dothraki and the Wildlings.  And they have had to adapt to survive and eventually thrive among the savages.

@Narsil4 Dawn ends the night and brings the light.  I love the theory of Ned Dayne needing to stick the sword in Arya.

Parallels never cross.  The two elements are not compatible.  Any offspring from such a pairing cannot exists.  Or better to say, should not exists.  And if one does exists would be an affront to both sides.

The parallels go much deeper than that.  Bran is told to forget his dreams of knighthood.  He is told to stay on that north side of the wall.  Daenerys is made to lose her dreams of motherhood and family.  Qaithe is also telling her to go eastward.  The slaves want her to stay with them.  If Bran stays in the north, Daenerys will stay in the east to maintain the symmetry.

Parallels.  They won't touch.  Could never touch.  Maybe that is the point.  Their arcs may travel in the same direction but they will never touch.  Fire and ice will always stay apart.  Should stay apart.  Fire and ice do not mix.

It is mentioned in the books that greensee'ers had either marry a tree or they die young. Or it is possible that Bran could never leave that cave now when his powers were activated by that "Jojen paste".

They are supposedly weak.  Poor in health.  The trees keep them alive.  The weaker the body the stronger the ability, so says the man.  Bran, however, was born normal.  He was weakened due to an accident.  Alright it was not an accident.  The point is, Bran was not born weak.  His weakness was artificially induced via push-through-the-window.  Bran is special.

He will have to be carried out of that cave.  Meera won't do it.  Hodor might.  Meera will die and there will be no one who can stop Bran from leaving.  Won't it be wonderfully messed up if Bran kills Meera and Bloodraven.

  6. I love the parallel roles of Daenerys and Bran.  Quaithe is basically telling Daenerys to go to the east and defend the lands.  She has thousands of newly released slaves in training to become soldiers.  How cool would it be to send them to the Five Forts and build up the defense.  Bran's job is to pick up where his brothers failed miserably and defend the north.  Quaithe and Brynden too are parallel.

  7. Take note, the difference in candles or swords if you prefer.  Those candles could be related to the gemstone families from the old empire.  Westerosi nobles have their sigils and banners.  The families from the old empire distinguish themselves by color.  And it is easier to distinguish colors by using something familiar, like gemstones.  It's not at all remarkable.  The Targaryens were distinguished by colors during the dance, the blacks and the greens.  So to use an example, the milky looking sword of House Dayne could have been the property of the family of the Opal emperor.
