  1. 4/10 Daenerys's war council was boring (no, Varys didn't convince me at all, if I were her, I wouldn't believe a word). The Lannisters were bland. I hope Jaime's not going to stay like this until the end of the series... Next, did I want to see a truly romantic scene between Greyworm and Missandei spoiled by nudity and sex? No. Did I want to see Asha (I don't even remember the show name and I don't care) and Ellaria make out? No. Same for Asha being (probably) killed and Theon breaking down again. On the plus side: we had Arya with her bitter experiences and Sam becoming increasingly more mature (I'd never thought I'd follow his subplot with such interest). They both saved the episode for me.
  2. 6/10. Mainly due to the Sam and Hound subplots. That's why I enjoy (though not love) the TV series: I never know what to expect. I was moved by the initial scenes with Arya, then got terribly bored with the conversations between the Lannister and Stark/Snow siblings. I was almost about to turn it off... but then I saw what poor Sam had been doing for all these months... and quite unexpectedly I liked it. I even laughed, which doesn't often happen to me. Not to mention the monologue about the world that had been supposed to end so many times before.
  3. 9/10, and honestly, I can't remember when I last liked the whole episode so much (it may have been the one when Roose was murdered). The best parts: the good old honourable Arya is back; Bran won't disappear again until the end of the season (but will he revisit the old Winterfell again? That is a big question); Jamie duly goes on his quest - possibly to meet Brienne again? Oh, and the clever Margaery, always behaving as they want her to, and yet always having it her way. Even Sam's plot is surprisingly interesting, although it may be just because of the good acting.
