    Season 8 Official Trailer Released

Interesting things I noticed: - It looks as though Jaime is fighting with his right hand - Arya is running through the Red Keep, mirroring S1 (the crypts don't have windows) - In the battle sequence, it sounds as though Jaime is shouting "run", but he is actually shouting "Bronn" - There is definitely a smattering of paws among the hooves

    Season 8 Official Trailer Released

I'm pretty sure Jaime is fighting with his right hand...

    The third twist

    Oh, good!

    The third twist

I could see it happening, but only if he felt as though he had no other choice. I can imagine Jon would be jarred by her ruthlessness and sometimes homicidal tendencies, so I don’t think it’s completely unlikely. The dynamic is going to be so interesting when we finally get Jon, Dany and Sam (and Jorah, too) in a room together and they learn what she did to the Tarly’s.* *Unless Sam is all LOL no biggie I hated them anyway

    The third twist

I hope you're right! If not WW related, maybe it is something to do with Daenerys' final betrayal. That too comes in threes. I'm just throwing ideas everywhere now.

    The third twist

I think if it hadn't have been so heavily rumoured and instead come as a momentous shock to everyone, it would've been a fantastic suckerpunch of a reveal. Has it been confirmed that the last reveal is yet to come? If not, I'd guess that it was R + L = J.
  8. That's an incredibly reductive reading of the three characters, they are far more multidimensional. Their motivations are very different. One's reasons aren't the other person's reasons, to badly paraphrase Ser Davos.
  9. I read S7 Sansa as hardening rather than mellowing. And while I wouldn't go as far as to say that Sansa is driven by power, now she has had a taste of it, she certainly seems to like it; whether consciously or subconsciously is hard to say. Sansa enjoys the power that comes with being the Lady of Winterfell -- she was absolutely adamant that Jon not travel to Dragonstone to meet with Daenerys until Jon handed control of the North to her.

    The third twist

Could the third reveal have been Jon's parentage? I hope not. I do hope it's something WW related. I could get on board with Bran = NK but only if it makes sense.

What is the role of Gendry?

You don't have to be a "romantic girl" to want or have love. Grey Worm doesn't strike anybody as a "romantic man", but he still found love. If it's going to be anybody it probably would be Gendry.

Who will wield Heartsbane in season 8?

There is absolutely no way Jon would continue to call himself KITN if he wasn't. Besides, the northerners would think he was an absolute joke. My money is on Jorah.

Your heart's desire last words of GOT?

Either, "The pack survives." or "Valar Morghulis"

Little Questions That Don't Fit Anywhere Else Part 3

Also, I have a totally unrelated question. Does anybody know what the font for the forum header is?

Little Questions That Don't Fit Anywhere Else Part 3

You could be right; perhaps I am overstating. I just thought the parallel between Robert and his warhammer and Gendry and his hammer would have been more significant. Honestly, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the hammer reappeared next season without explanation.

Little Questions That Don't Fit Anywhere Else Part 3

Why establish this whole thing about Gendry and his hammer for him to just hand it over to the Hound, who then tosses it to one side and leaves it Beyond the Wall?
  17. LOVED the dialogue between Brienne and The Hound. We needed to be reminded of his softer side.
  18. Oh, no, I definitely agree that there wouldn't have been one without the other. The wounds he suffered weakened him to the point that he couldn't withstand the cold like the others. His body wasn't up to that fight. My original point was more along the lines of "hmm Beric, Thoros isn't looking too good, if only there were some fire around here to make him feel a little more comfortable wink wink nudge nudge"
  19. Well, when the Hound said that it was "one of the better ways to go" I presumed he meant freezing rather than being mauled by a dead bear.
  20. Even more hilarious - Beric Dondarrion remembers he has a flaming sword AFTER his friend freezes to death.
  21. The AoD are a single Gendry's run from The Wall, so it absolutely HAS to fall in next week's episode. Right? Right?!
  22. I agree that more people should have died. I mean, I'm glad that they didn't, because Jorah, Tormund and the Hound are up there in my top 10 favourite characters, but reason and powerful storytelling and GOT's reputation for killing off important characters says that we should have lost a big hitter. But we lost Thoros of Myr instead and I kinda shrugged my shoulders. Sad, but not a devastating loss.
  23. True about the Viscerion thing, but I did think the visual of him sliding down into the water was absolutely gorgeous and tragic.

Yep, that too. The sharp features locked it right down for me.

    [Spoilers] EP701

It's 100% Jorah. There is no mistaking that profile. Or that voice.
