He's also the title character in "The Mandalorian".
And he's also in an extremely dispensable Netflix film, The Great Wall.

• fTyrion: who has a better story than Bran the Broken?
• Braavosi crowd: BWA AH AH AH AH (hats thrown in the air, crude jokes etc.)

Wellp, once you base stuff on the popularly named 'mummers version'?
Makes me think that I'd LOVE to see Izembaro's theater troupe playing the last episodes!

That is clearly NOT a confirmation that RLJ is book canon.
How does this equal RLJ is confirmed book canon?
At this point, to affirm that R+L=J is not the canon of the book is a pure intellectual pose.
Unless, of course, GRRM is half crazy and has been indulging in lies for several years. -

Is there a theory out there that guessed Bran will end up king? Before we knew the ending of the show, I mean, not after.
To my knowledge, no. But, as BalerionTheCat wrote, Bran is Evil speculations, and things around "Bran is The Main Power", etc.
Undoubtedly there are people who have long known or guessed that Bran is the most important character, and that he was coming in masked.

It's like Jesus dying for the sins of mankind, comes back to life and ends up king, pops a few kids and dies at a respectable age. I mean, what?
This.

The council ruling is basically democracy…
Not at all. It's an oligarchy based on lordship. Tobho Mott, blacksmith in KL or Hotpie, baker in the Riverlands, will never be consulted or represented.

...so since they didn't do this easier and more popular solution, I can only believe it was because Bran being king is a book endpoint, same as the endpoints they used for the rest of the major characters.
Yes, that's what I'm starting to believe now. Obviously they are very uncomfortable with this situation, hence the lack of dialogue, the lousy attempts at humour, etc.

You do realize that this was taken from an actual battle that happened in history right? I don't have the name of it but it's been said several times by the director of the episode + D&D they based the mountain of dead bodies off of descriptions of actual battles that took place.
Piles of bodies have occured on several battle field, from Hannibal to Caesar to Agincourt and even during the American Civil War. However they NEVER reached the height of that of the Battle of Bastards which is hugely exaggerated and almost caricatural…
The main inspiration for the tactic of BoB is the Battle of Cannae, 216 BC, where the Carthaginians leaded by Hannibal destroyed a huge Roman army (with the famous pincer movement that Jon Snow tries to explain to Tormund).

I'm begining to believe that is Gendry's purpose. He was the apprentice to the only man in the 7 kingdoms that knew how to smith Valyrian steel swords. (see: ICE ==> Widow's wail + Oath Keeper).
Not at all. Gendry never touched Ice. When Ice is reforged, Tywin clearly says he had to find the last blacksmith in Volantis who knew how to deal with valyrian steel - magic spells, etc.
At no time in the show it's etablished that Gendry has any experience with valyrian steel.

Also, of all of season 7, I thought this episode had most of that classic GoT feel.
Definitely.

The cousin of the gardener of my brother-in-law did not like the episode, I'm sure it proves something.

Also what a super boring episode. Why so long? It was the first one my wife has ever seen and she was in shock that people watch the show. She thought it was insufferably boring
Uh, this is not a DIsney show… How can you expect someone who doesn't know the context, the story, the characters, etc. to like the last episode of 7 season series?

BTW, did Tormund and Beric die???? I had to rewatch the scene, but I still don't know
I really don't think so. The way they are seen fleeing while many others around them are killed… I'm sure we'll see them again… in 2019

I can't believe it, they don't have the means to hire a good looking extra? A guy that doesn't look like Viserys twin brother?

Maybe.
Surely, and also D&D want Brienne's presence in KL when the suicidal team show the wight to Cersei…

Earlier you were arguing that Arya held her own against Brienne and that it's as understandable as Syrio's last stand.
Again I've NEVER wrote that. Obviously you are looking for pretexts to enter into quarrels with people on this forum. I'm not interested. Let say we agree that the scene was unnecessary and meaningless, and basta cosí.

And yes, I read Foldedpencil's post, but sorry to say it doesn't make much sense either. First, just because someone somewhere managed to overcome opponent's advantage in skill, it doesn't mean that now every underdog can win and we just have to accept it.
We don't have to accept it and Arya isn't exactly an underdog…And second, the entire point of the scene was to show us that Arya is now actually equal to Brienne.
err… no. She took Brienne by surprise, and who would believe that Brienne would take the risk to hurt, even lightly, the Lady of Winterfell's sister? Brienne prefers to be ridiculed rather than risk the irreparable…

So, you're saying that Arya is now equal to Syrio? And you don't have a problem with that?
WTF? I've never said that .
You seem to have a comprehension problem; I was talking about the way people interpreted Arya/Brienne's duel in comparison with the general acceptance of Syrio's fight against several big guys heavily armored and armed…
Read Foldedpencil's post just above yours.
GoT Actors in Other Stuff - Part 2
in General (GoT)

btw, I watched S3 of The Crown on Netflix (excellent series IMHO), there are at least 3 GoT actors – Tobias Menzies, Charles Dance, Rupert Vansittart. All very good as usual.
