  1. Apparently you made them fresh and tropical.
  2. Tentative contracts - subject to editing up to deadline I am assuming (and believe it should be a rule) that the normal "can cut without penalty" for retired players does not apply when a player is already retired when drafted (Gronk rule). Aaron Rodgers - $30 - 2 years Miles Sanders - $25 - 1 year Will Fuller - $9 - 1 year Marquez Valdes-Scantling - $4 - 4 years Kareem Hunt - $9 - 2 years Marcus Mariota - $2 - 2 years Rob Gronkowski - $1 - 4 years Geronimo Allison - $4 - 1 year Alexander Mattison - $4 - 4 years Jerick McKinnon - $3 - 4 years Bryce Love - $3 - 4 years
  3. $26 auction dollars to watch Tom Brady become painfully ordinary would be the best thing I've spent all year.
  4. I probably could have saved a few $$ by dropping and redrafting Tom Brady, but our Fantasy Fans really appreciate what he has done for our Fantasy Franchise and he sells a lot of Fantasy Merchandise.
  5. I am keeping all of my players. Including Mason Rudolph who has been somehow named Mason Randolph in the first post. Courtland Sutton's name is spelled wrong also.
  6. You have to also enable the humility button. Yours may not be visible.
  7. 9:30 Eastern is a huge difference for me compared to 9:00. Difference between leaving work an hour early or having to leave two hours early - because of bus schedules. My colleagues aren't too thrilled seeing me leave early all week because of FF - except for the one who plays FF.
  8. I am free every night except the 4th right now. If we bleed into Week 2 things get complicated.
  9. If we're making up titles, I claim the 'most games correct' championship!!
  10. Congrats to the winners. I'm glad my week 1 of the playoffs snafu didn't keep me out, since I know I'd have been less than perfect. I think the tie-breaker SHOULD be the team who scored the most points in the drop week. In fact, I think next time we should eliminate the drop week altogether.
  11. Since they were getting points, I only wish I'd gone with my instinct and bet $200 on them ($200 being about what I think I'm willing to pay to get a Patriots loss).
  12. There are three games left, two each for 16 points and a third for 8. I still think I'm in it. I'd have to get all three right and the others only one each, but the games this weekend look very close on paper. If it weren't for the silly drop rule, I'd be much closer.
  13. I'd be right there if I'd remembered and made the right choice on the two coin flip games (I was pretty solid for Seattle and Chicago, but up in the air on the AFC matchups).
  14. Totally forgot while on vacation. I would have probably missed 3 of 4 anyway.
  15. Somehow I finished second while going 8-8.
  16. @briantw in main FF thread: I think you've come a long way with that team, but still think you're a year away from really being in a position to challenge for the top. Winning this league usually requires three or four complete steal contracts and nothing holding you down. You've got good ones for Cooper Kupp, Chris Godwin, Aaron Jones and Nick Chubb, but in addition to the anchors you inherited, you are probably overpaying next year for David Johnson and Royce Freeman. Chances are good you'll be able to use the "out of football completely" cap exception on Alex Smith (poor dude). Still a great year overall. Congrats.
  17. But it changed the standings quite a bit. Each team effectively regained what had been previously their dropped score. I slipped from 2nd to 4th.
  18. I want to congratulate Jaxom for his amazing performance in Week 11. Gotta love the idea of someone who manages to score under 75 points without actually having idle players in his lineup. QB: Mariota, Bortles RB: M. Gordon, I. Smith, Josh Adams WR: A. Cooper, D. Montcrief, M. Valdes-Scantling, M. Harris TE: Kelce DT: Washington K: Gano That LOOKS like a playable lineup. Which this week o-so-wasn't @Jaxom 1974
  19. As predicted. Edited to add: Even though scrambled up the idea that 6 teams on bye means 3 fewer games rather than six.
  20. This is pretty much going to be everyone's drop week.
  21. The NFL playoffs can have big swings. My memory is that the first two round games are 4,8,12,16. The conference championships 8,16 and the Super Bowl 16.
  22. The image in the post is annoying. The quote tool blocks deleting it if I want to talk about another part. I don't get this "rushing to the computer thing". I post my picks on Tuesday. I'll tweak them later in the week, but a first run Tuesday morning makes all but 100% sure I'll have a complete set.
  23. Monster trade, me and Tywin. I give up Jarvis Landry ($3 - 3 years remaining) and Jordan Howard ($1, 1 year remaining) for Antonio Brown (contract expiring) and Raheem Mostert (no contract). Howard is a low end RB2 or high RB3 for a buck and Landry could be a steal for three more seasons. But I want to win now, now, now.
  24. I understand the sentiment. I put the max bet on New England EVERY week hoping I'll lose.
