  1. Faith Militant want the perpetrators of the RW to be judged, don't remember about Elia.

    Company of the Rose

The story needed Robb's campaign to fail, so naturally an Essosi sellsword company of exiled (thousands?) Northmen couldn't fit in to help their countrymen atm. Plus, the war started as an effort to release the Warden of the North, not independence. Besides, it might not be just that. If they sailed away on another freaking continent because they refused Aegon's rule, guess who they might blame for submitting to dragons? Exactly, the Starks. So they might hold a grudge. Or, they had another contract. Or just anything else. That being said, if they are aware of the past existence of the Others, and it seems like they are shaped to keep and respect tradition, then it's not impossible for them to show up again after they are informed on the matter. Another chance they show up is if they know that the North is emptier than it was before so they see an opportunity to return home and maybe grab something for them, especially if they are hired by Stannis, Boltons, or whoever promises them gold and lands.
  3. Only Tarbeck, Reyne and Whent (are they?) are extinct.

    Mance Rayder's background story?

Mance is Rhaegar. Don't know but it does seem we know little.

    Moments of Foreshadowing v.12

This hit me just yesterday chaining my dog for a walk. It would be glorious btw.

    The danger of Gerold Dayne

Agree. I feel like if Jon is a Targ (probably yes) that should suffice. But with Aerys II "taking liberties" left and right it can be very possible that there are few more Targs we are not aware of.

Roose the opportunist and wyman the 'starkist'

If Stannis wins the battle then I think that in order to placate the Northern faction in his army he will hand them over the Boltons. They are the prize for taking Winterfell.

    A Bolton-ruled North

10 years is too much. If they survive 10 years, they likely will make it for at least their lives. Not sure about Ramsay though because he can cause trouble just being himself tbh.

The execution of Janos Slynt was spot on vol 2

    And how would that work?

Are the Starks required to be nice to Theon?

No. They just need to provide him with minimum little lord heir conditions. Nice is extra.

The Family Traditions of House Bolton (Theory)

Can't remember who exactly, but a member here described the Boltons as Sith Lords: Always two, no more, no less. In addition to this, if Ramsay killed Dom is exactly this way - only the stronger survives, not the gallant boy who likes to play the harp. The law against kinslaying do not count much here.

Why was Jamie still a Kingsguard for Robert

So that he can become the Father of Kings.

    Preacher- AMC Comic Adaptation

If you read the comics so you've had expectations, I get it. I haven't so I see it as a new thing and enjoy it.

    Preacher- AMC Comic Adaptation

Love this show. Great development and characters. One of my favorites definitely.
  15. Because the Night's Watch cares for the Realm, and the Boltons are bad for it.

What or who is behind aerys crazyness/madness

When was this? I genuinely don't remember, not a jerk question.

How much could Dorne influence in the war of the 5 kings?

Doran, master of waiting and failed plots.

What or who is behind aerys crazyness/madness

Bran couldn't influence Aerys. He wasn't born. Maesters-they might've fed his paranoia but only due to him being able to be influenced so easily in the first place. Same goes maybe for Varys I guess? Duskendale just made the process go faster. So ultimately number 5. He was mentally ill. They just called him simply "mad". Westeros doesn't bother with diagnoze.

Would you let Samwell inherit Hornhill?

    Yes.

For the fifth time: Davos/Stannis, cutting thieves' hands for theft, gelding, cutting fingers for theft (Randyll Tarly): Are NOT matching comparison for the Jon/Slynt matters. Different crimes, different circumstances.

    POV Character Predictions for TWoW

Jon Snow- I don't know. Probably lives. Arya Stark-don't know Sansa Stark-don't know Bran Stark-Lives and he continues his growing into one of, if not the most important characters imo. Tyrion Lannister-I don't like his POVs. I don't like him. He lives. Cersei Lannister-Lives and manages to break free of the Faith Militant. Gonna become a tool of some other more dangerous and ambitious man. Jaime Lannister-Don't know really. Daenerys Targaryen- She lives due to plot armour. I don't like her and her POVs too. Theon Greyjoy-Have no idea Asha Greyjoy-Also no idea Victarion Greyjoy- I hope he lives at least for a while. Funniest character. Please just let him and his hilarious chapters be. However, becomes Daenerys Targ's tool. Aeron Greyjoy-Dies. Arianne Martell-Don't know. I imagine her as very hot. That's her only quality. Jon Connington-Dies. Barristan Selmy-Dies. Davos Seaworth-No idea Brienne of Tarth-No idea Samwell Tarly-Lives Melisandre-Crazy stuff as usual Areo Hotah-No idea.

Do we have any example of a local man figuratively spitting in Eddard's face and refusing to obey a simple command? My guess is that Eddard would've cut his head off. Closest thing to this is when Robb tells the Greatjon what Eddard taught him - showing steel to your liege is a death sentence. Not the same, but close. OK, he could have pardoned Slynt. He didn't. And why would he pardon him? What use of Slynt?

The execution of Janos Slynt was spot on vol 2

How exactly a ballsless or a tongueless Slynt would've been better? He wasn't good for anything of greater good to begin with.

The execution of Janos Slynt was spot on vol 2

Except that Jon might not know another way in how to deal with insubordination and offense. He is not Joffrey, he is not Aerys. He is not as creative in dealing justice as these above mentioned are. He was thought by his father differently. This is how he would act. Or he should've read some history first before he acted? That's right. That's exactly what I wrote. Except, Davos spent most of his criminal life being a smuggler. So he got some fingers chopped off, but also many rewards and benefits for his family. And Davos, his punishment, or Stannis, have NOTHING to do with Jon/Slynt situation. I mean, it is not comparable in any possible way. Janos Slynt wasn't executed for spreading lies or gossip. They can. Jon chosed this way. What's wrong with it? They had other choices, so what? Does anyone cry over the member of House Payne, being hanged for a stolen ham?

If you extend the discussion on mutilation, rather than only tongue-cutting and gelding, that's a diffetent matter. Yet, it still doesn't fit Slynt's crime and the circumstances both him and Jon were in. I think the punishment Davos received doesn't make Stannis an evil man. If Davos was caught smuggling in different circumstances, he probably would've received worse punishment. Stannis is a tightarse in general but leaving Davos with no consequences would've looked worse imo.
