Is that a popular opinion that Season 4 was boring? I thought it was great. I’ve loved all of them, probably Season 3 the weakest for me.

It is crazy that a show can be a largely plausible, present day non-fantasy story and yet still have the audience asking “is that guy 500 years old?”

Personally, I couldn't even finish third and fourth seasons. I'll try the fifth though.

It's been 23 years since we last played in a WC/EC. All I'm saying is that we should at least be able to qualify for something at some point. That shouldn't be out of reach for this squad, in this group, though Spain should definitely win the group on average.

I mentioned Portugal thinking specifically of their recent EC winning side, with some high level stars and solid-but-not Earth-shattering players elsewhere. Not even arguing that our players are better, just that it should be enough to qualify.

Croatia took third and second place in the last two WCs, which many would call "punching above one's weight". So why are they very, very good, while we are utter, utter shit? Again, not saying we're better, just...

I know almost nothing about Norway, but this Croatia national team was always carried by their midfield. Having prime Modric, Rakitic, Kovacic and Brozovic all on your team is a luxury.

    Haaland with his obligatory goals.

In other news. Albania  beating the Czechs 3-0 feels just wrong. They are even sitting safely on top of their group with the Czechs and Poles fighting over 2nd. Is this generation of Albanian players good or Poland and Czech Republic just not getting their acts together?

Whenever I saw Poland play these past few years, they always played bad. My guess is that simply results caught up with performances.

Most fans are fans of clubs that suck, my club has been dogshit most of my adult life, never wavered.

Newcastle plays in a top league that is developed, in a developed country and always was a club with all the elements needed to be taken serious. I'm not talking about winning trophies, I'm talking about not being from a third world country without a proper league and no proper stadia or fans. There's no way to "support" a club that won't even take money for a ticket since no one will attend anyway.

I literally never mentioned Fergie, I named Keane a few times though, reading helps.

You still think Rashford is better than Isak?  Shows what you know about football, about as most glory hunters that support a team from another country that they have no earthly reason to.

If your local clubs are dogshit without any competitive perspectives you'll want to at least connect to a club that means something.

VAR did check Diaz’s goal. They thought the decision on the field was a goal so they said check complete since it was an obvious goal. But call on field was no goal. By time they realized, guy kicked the ball and you can’t change the result then. Absolutely insane error.

Aah ok then. I read PGMOL's statement and they said that VAR "failed to intervene" so I understood it as if they didn't check it. I watched without sound so I was confused as to what exactly happened in the moment.

This is actually much worse, lol.

So, is this a step towards a more serious drug testing program in football?

Off the top of my head, I can name Maradona and Adrian Mutu getting banned for cocaine and Rio Ferdinand for avoiding testing. Other than that, I can't remember anyone.

Given the increasing number of games and insane amounts of money as well as all the pressure to perform, I find it very hard to believe that football is that clean.

Pep was also banned 4 months in Brescia in 2001 for using nandrolone. He fought it for 8 years and finally was cleared of all charges in 2009, but he did sit out those 4 months at the time he tested positive. In 2005 he was even sentenced to 7 months in prison, but that got cleared altogether with the charges later on.

    WRT to Anthony.

United can't even time the revelation of their players being cunts right.

Had the story broke a few weeks earlier they could have used Anthony to distract from them bringing back Greenwood, or more likely they could have used Greenwood to distract from Anthony.

Now Greenwood's gone, Anthony is a known cunt and it only distracts from Sancho ruing the day he left Dortmund. Which we all knew anyway.

It did come up earlier though. I posted it three months ago. This was the source:
