  1. The issue with all these assumptions is that they are assumptions. The show never elaborated on Bran's powers or his warging abilities. The 'hold the door' moment was confusing for me. What exactly happened there? Did Bran alter the past ? Because the books say that the 'ink is dry' on the past. So essentially the only thing Bran can change is the future. So why didn't he at least try? As for warning a dragon, Bran was the 3ER. If anyone could warg into a dragon, it should've been him.
  2. I dunno, it wouldve made me antsy. ALso, if recasting is an option, and assuming the books get finished, maybe the whole series can be remade with a whole different cast and crew.

    Theory: Book Jorah kills Jon

My impression based on the final season was the only people the show runners wanted to serve were themselves. They wanted to add shock elements ignoring plot and logic and they did so. As for book jorah, he comes across as a little creepy to me. He doesn't seem emotionally attached or devoted to Dany like show jorah. So I'm not sure he would care enough to kill Jon over killing dany at a peril to his own safety.

The death of the Dothraki and racism

Some cities might be away from their reach to raze. Eg. Westeros. They could sell their weapons to the free cities in Essos. I ask because I really don't see how the dothraki lifestyle is sustainable for more than a 100 yrs or so.

The death of the Dothraki and racism

Another question: What happens when the more technologically advanced cities develop advanced weapons (eg. explosives, more efficient, smaller scorpions, better siege weaponry etc) and started attacking them instead of trading with them? They will have to change their ways or perish.

    The Ending Was very conventional

I can see Grey Worm trusting Jon to complete his sentence. And as for Bran and the NK, that plot has left me more confused than ever. Did Bran plan everything all along? Did the NK know in advance about the dragon coming north of the wall? I'm sure nobody gave too much thought to any of this. I dunno, I had always thought Arya's journey was about getting over her demons, not being governed by the need to kill, getting through her kill list at some point and not adding more names. I had hoped she would eventually settle down in society alongside her family.

Anyone else annoyed that Tyrion is hand again?

It was Criston Cole I believe. And I wouldn't be surprised if the showrunners gave something from Jaime's plot to tyrion. Full disclosure, Jaime is my favorite POV character to read. So this might just be wishful thinking on my part. But based on the way the final episode ended, my hope is that Jaime does something that makes him kingmaker (or kingslayer) again, because of which he is either removed from the KG or is demoted and thus Brienne becomes LC. And it is kinda an open secret that they are involved, which makes their ending somewhere in the middle of perfect and terrible.

Maybe we could get Ramin Djawadi's insight on the matter...

The death of the Dothraki and racism

I am assuming the show runners are saying that the dothraki suddenly changed their way of life and started living inside castles or houses in westeros. And maybe I've blocked out memories of the final episode, but when did the dothraki end up in the Reach?

Plus, the unsullied left. It's not like they are going to come back to check if Jon is serving his sentence. So Jon could just as easily come back south. None of it makes any sense. So like Arya without the scurvy? I think it's still depressing. And since we are on the subject of being confused by the ending, do we know why exactly was the NK after Bran? What would killing bran accomplish for the NK?

I don't know if this has been discussed, but who does the NW report to? Is it the king in KL? If so, why? Why is there a NW beyond the borders of the six kingdoms? If the wildlings are the issue, they will be raiding the North. Why would KL care? Is it just a prison then?

    Character arc ranto (SPOILERS)

Bad pussy was one terrible line. Yes, within a terrible plot line that was Dorne. But as you say, the acting and production was fabulous, which made the show worth watching. We here (most of us) have read the books and are much more invested than the casual viewer. But most casual viewers must have thought that the end would explain some of the chaos that happened in the latter seasons. But unfortunately, the writing for the final season was so bad that no amount of individual performances or production value could compensate for it.

    Character arc ranto (SPOILERS)

I would add that the show was pretty decent as compared to the rest of the stuff on TV. It wasn't as good as it couldve been, but it wasn't that bad. Season 8 was just terrible and most people dislike a bad ending.

Tyrion was a fan favorite. I suppose the show runners wanted him to be kingmaker and it just made it happen against all logic.

    Character arc ranto (SPOILERS)

So much to say, so little time (right now). One thing to add: Jorah. I don't know why, but I felt extremely bad about the way Jorah died. He spent all 8 seasons looking like a kicked puppy. And then he died a kicked puppy (a heroic kicked puppy, but that's little consolation) I would've liked to see him survive. The ending where he could've joined Jon beyond the wall seemed better imo.

Anyone else annoyed that Tyrion is hand again?

I've heard about a lot of the actors complaining about their characters behaving inconsistently. It seems the actors gave more thought about their characters than the writers and directors. And some of the dialog was just atrocious, which made things worse.

    The purpose of Dany's fireproofness?

You're a much better person than I am. I always tend buy really bad knives that get dull cutting through butter.. I never learn. I think we can all agree that the 'George's story' ship had long sailed

    The purpose of Dany's fireproofness?

Don't get me wrong, I liked that scene too. In large part because of David Bradley. But come on, don't you hate one use tools in your kitchen? They take up too much space.. Now Arya killing Sansa to seduce LF, that would've made for riveting television. I wonder why they didn't go with that.

Anyone else annoyed that Tyrion is hand again?

They were probably disappointed that there wasn't another moment in the books as shocking as the RW. So they just shrugged and tried to invent as many 'shocking' moments as they could, disregarding character development.

This is what bugged me the most about the show 's portrayal of Jaime and Cersei. Is that they showed Jaime and Cersei like some tragic lovers out of Shakespeare. And this setting aside the incest (which makes me gag). Let's just say that in Westeros, where monarchs wed siblings, the incest part of it seems less egregious. But they are utterly toxic together, in large part because of Cersei. She brings out the worst in Jaime and he has centered his whole life around being with Cersei, or rather being at her beck and call. And she doesn't seem to care too much about him, he is just her means to spite Robert and get what she wants. Portraying their relationship as a romantic one was just atrocious. Jaime is my favorite POV character to read in the books. We only knew him through other people's perspectives in book 1 and 2, and then we hear his inner thoughts in book 3, which I found fascinating. He was so different than than the facade he put up in front of other people. The show messed him up real bad.

Omg!! Did Esme Bianco confirm complaining about the nude scene?

    The purpose of Dany's fireproofness?

Since we are on the subject of traits that went nowhere, Arya's ability of change faces seems like one of them too. She had already killed Walder Frey and his sons without needing to change faces. I doubt Walder Frey would've recognized her had she used her own face while serving him the pie. And she didn't use it after that.

    The purpose of Dany's fireproofness?

Yup. Which is why I always thought that Bran's warging abilities would be involved somehow in defeating the NK. Dany's superpower doesn't seem to work with the NK, maybe Bran will use his. But nope, he didn't do anything. I was trying to figure out why that sounded familiar. Thanks!
