  1. For example: Was watching the appendices for the movies and upon hearing they added lights in front of Cate Blanchett, behind the camera, to give a constellation like cast to her pupils, because of the characters description in the book. And I just thought to myself, there's no way they're going to do that shit with this new girl they cast for the part. Also the filters Peter Jackson used with the video editing software to give the production a kind of fairy tale-dreamlike quality. But main concern would be the miniatures used to give the locations of Middle-earth a real lived in feel. I can't see these people going to the trouble with a TV show.
  2. Perhaps he just didn't have a C. S. Lewis egging him to finish like the Lord of the Rings.
  3. Did he just loose interest in compiling the work into a single narrative structure?
  4. Exactly my feeling on the show. Hopefully they'll be able to pull it off for the fans who have waited near thirty years for it instead of trying to please some bitter and ignorant actors criticisms. But if the actors casted previous performances are any indication, it's looking more and more like they were just checks in boxes, with quality thrown out the window.
  5. From what I always knew of Hollywood, is that they follow a strict if its not broken then don't fix it strategy. And yet, just actors like John Boyega are bitter because the right people got the roles for The Lord of the Rings movies and Game of Thrones, Hollywood is throwing all thoughts of source material out the window for the big upcoming Wheel of Time and Middle-earth TV series on Amazon. Even with the failed Bloodmoon prequel pilot, there was shoehorning even with what would be the ancestors to the characters in Game of Thrones. This is not a troll question, I'm just concerned they have forgone picking the right people for the part, and with these that means completing screwing up the established world-building culture norms, in the name of forced diversity just for the sake of a checklist with no good storytelling value. More so because I've seen some of the past work of the actors playing Nynaeve, Egwene, and Lan in the upcoming Wheel of Time, and I didn't think their performances were that good in the slightest.
  6. “The Game of Thrones universe is so rich with stories,” said HBO programming president Casey Bloys. “We look forward to exploring the origins of House Targaryen and the earlier days of Westeros along with Miguel, Ryan and George.” From Verge: The goal is to eventually have the events of the new series lead up to The Dance of the Dragons. It’s a major moment in the Seven Kingdoms history, leading to an all out civil war between two rival faction of House Targaryen Huh-I wonder what that could mean! From the origins of House Targaryen leading up to the Dance of Dragons... Like I have said, it's an ANTHOLOGY SHOW.
  7. So, is anyone actually compiling these into a list for reference, as originally stated, or...?
