  1. A basic armchair tactician could tell you not to put your catapults there, have more than one fire pit, actually attack the undead trying to breach your fire pit, don't have your Dothraki charge an undead mass, make sure you walls aren't undermanned so they can't just get by them with ease, have your unsullied hold a tighter formation so they don't easily get through your shields. Why the hell aren't you dumping burning pitch onto the undead from your walls? Who the hell is planning this battle strategy? Hell basic tactics they used at the Wall against the wildlings would have worked wonders.
  2. Did anyone else expect the Night King to utter "No one can kill me."?
  3. I give the episode a 1. They chose to throw out GRRM's intended ending three years ago. The strategy they come up with was a joke. I laughed when the Dothraki all died and again when the catapults were overran.
  4. Yes, the Long Night was throughout the world. The seas freeze and there are similar legends from the far east of Essos including the Lion of Night and his demons in the far east.
  5. Were they even waiting for them to arrive? I mean for all we know, they had the delusions they were in control.
  6. The question is how they are going to prove he is Aegon and how much evidence do they need. Sam is in the library researching stuff and I am sure Bran is going through his visions. There's Howland Reed around as well. Jon can also ride a dragon, which is evidence enough of at least his bloodline. The fact he's a dragonrider and that Rhaegar and Lyanna wed could be enough. Regardless, I think we will see a plot to make Jon king, probably with Sam and Sansa. being kingmakers. Once he is an acknowledged Targryen, the question remains of how he gets the support of the north and Eyrie. Once they find out Ned's blood really doesn't run through his veins and he's actually a Targaryen, I don't see them just following along. Marrying a someone from a major northern house would definitely cement that the throne would be Targaryen in name only.
