  1. This episode was very revealing for me. Firstly, it was another visual masterpiece, and the direction as far as visuals go was top knotch. I disagreed with some areas of the plot, but they are never going to please everyone so I'm not gonna get all defensive and critical. Im glad Cersei is dead, but I do wish it had happened in a different way, and as much as I knew Jaime was always going to die with her, I wish he didn't. I'm sad Jaime is dead, he really was an incredible character, and I went on quite a journey with him. He didn't deserve the end he got after everything he went through. Didn't expect Varys to die so quickly, it did seem a little rushed, but I guess everything has to be on the show. I have so much respect for Tyrion for trying everything he could to stop Daenerys burning the city, he even betrayed her to do it, and he tried to spare Cersei, even after everything she done to him! He is a truly good person who genuinely cares about people, and not just people he knows. I just hope he doesn't die because of it. I think Jon has finally realized that Daenerys is beyond help. She doesn't care about anyone. She wants the throne and she will do anything to get it, too bad she pretty much destroyed it. There will be a stand off between those two in the next episode, Jon needs to stop hiding behind her, he knows who he is, he knows he could rule far better than she ever could and people will follow him. No one will follow her after she burned an entire city to the ground when she didn't need to. She lost the minute she decided that a burnt city with dead people was better than a practically untouched city with people who hated Cersei almost as much as she did. I'm disappointed that she done this. Shes no better than Cersei now in my eyes. I think Arya could be on her way to kill Daenerys, she missed out on Cersei, but she saw the damage Daenerys done to that city and she believes Jon will make a better King! If anyone can kill her she can, and I hope she does!
  2. Re- Dragon stone. I don't know why they didn't occupy the castle, meaning Daenerys would have to flee elsewhere, further from KL. Rather than just ambushing them on their way, it would seem more tacitical to occupy it.
  3. I don't want Daenerys to sit in the throne. But I do want her to win. Cersei is all that bad, she will destroy anyone, innocent or otherwise to get her own way, in some ways Daenerys is quite similar. But Daenerys winning means Cersei is off the throne. With all of the people fighting on Daenerys' side, one of them would make a much better ruler. Cersei doesn't care about the 7 Kingdoms. She cares about herself and her power. Thats it. Daenerys claims she does care, but its hard to know she means that right now.
  4. Yeah, she wants the throne, she doesn't want to share it. She believes its her birth rite, but the thing is, it's actually notnher birth rite anymore. So now her main goal is to take the throne as quickly as possible before it all comes out and ruins her claim. Bc more people in Westeros will support Jons claim over hers and she knows it.
  5. Im surprised at how stupid Daenerys was thinking that they could just return to Dragonstone. Of course Cersei was going to have some sort of measures in place they for if they tried to return! Jaime was originally being smart when he decided to stay at Winterfell, but Cersei has always been his one weakness. I don't think he will go running back to her, not after everything she's done. But they do have unfinished business. Maybe he has finally realised that she is no good for him. He was happier with Brienne for one night then he seemed with Cersei for all those years. I can see Daenerys point about Jon not being able to control what happens if the truth about him came out, but at the same time, she doesn't have the right to make him hide who he is. He has done that for years already. I'm glad he told Arya. I wish he hadn't told Sansa Bc anyone would have guessed she would go blabbing to Tyrion. I'm assuming thats how he found out anyway? I feel a bit sorry for Gendry. I think he just got really excited when Daenerys legitimized him and probably took it a little too far by proposing to Arya. Maybe after she's killed Cersei? Daenerys seems to be losing this war. I know Missendei wasn't exactly important in the war effort, but she was Daenerys most loyal advisor, if killing anyone would make her want revenge, its her. Cersei is twisted. She is so desperate to hold onto the throne that she doesn't care if there is no one left to rule over in the end. Problem is, Daenerys wants the same, so that could make for a dangerous combination. Tyrion is sticking by Daenerys now, but I think maybe he secretly thinks that Jon would make a better ruler. Jon will never take the throne while Daenerys is alive. Also, is that all Arya gets? A thank you from Daenerys and a cheer? She killed the Night King, I think she deserves more recognition than that. Even Jon argued that it was Daenerys who saved them. C'mon man, it was Arya who saved them.
  6. 8/10 A solid episode with a nice return the this side of the story. So many points to discuss.
  7. Yes, the Night King wants an endless night, to erase the living and all memory of the world so far, Bran is the worlds memory, so he is the best person to kill, as it will erase most of the memory of the world.
  8. Well yeah, there is still the inevitable war with Cersei to come, Bran would be invaluable for that, considering how unpredictable Cersei is.
  9. Yeah me too, I like Daenerys, she has always fought for her people, it maybe wasn't as heroin as all that, as it was a case of fight or die, but still many would of chose death, so she should be applauded for that.
  10. He's the 3-Eyed Raven. He has the power to see everything that has ever happened and everything currently happening. Are you telling me that he wouldn't be important to have around when at war?
  11. My thought exactly. I think its so cool that Arya killed him, and certainly something I didn't see coming, I thought Bran was a goner, and then I thought Arya was a goner too for a second. The Living fought as one, they all played their part.
  12. To try push them back before they get inside the castle, which if you can help it, you don't want the enemy to get inside.
  13. Well it was either pick up the sword or die, it was hardly a difficult choice.
  14. I think well find out more deaths next week. Last week saw of Jaime and Brienne they were being ravaged by Wights so we don't know at this point if they survived.
  15. I think we won't find out who is dead until the next episode, a lot of characters fates were left up in the air at the end of this episode.
  16. 10/10. From a visual viewpoint, it was second to none, a masterclass in directing and cinematogrophy. It was so brutal in parts aswell. I can't believe Arya killed the Night King, but I'm happy it was her. Happy Bran survived, he's too important. Knew we would lose Theon, and that was pretty hard to watch. I think more characters that we know have died than we think, we just won't find out till the next episode. There are a few we didn't see after the battle ended so there fates are unknown at this point.
  17. Its lit like that for a reason. Not only is it because its night, and winter, the dark lighting conveys the dark tone of the show, its gotten darker season by season because the show has too. Make no mistake, it is deliberate. Lighting is tricky, and creating low light is often harder that high light. That is not sloppy lightwork by any means.
  18. True, it was still a lot more modest than most sex scenes we've seen, at least we didn't actually have to watch them having sex, I guess they don't have time for that anymore.
  19. Some people will die. Some people we love, some we don't. As for the Bran thing, that guy managed to survive beyond the wall with a girl and one large man, so I really hope he is safe with a some good fighters around him. I don't think they'd want to cut off his arm, poor guy already basically has no legs.
  20. I guess its a bit weird, I think most people still see her as that mouthy kid from Season 1, but she's a woman now.
  21. 9/10. This episode had me feeling such a huge range of emotions. I would be laughing one minute and then nearly in tears the next because I know whats coming. The episode had some light-hearted moments between characters who wouldn't normally get along, but it was all tinged with the underlying tension what was to come. I love that Arya and Gendry finally got together, I can't believe Jon told Daenerys the truth, I loved when Jaime Knighted Brienne. I am glad Jaime apologised to Bran and meant it. I'm also glad there was no Cersei or Euron (they definetely would have ruined it) Jon and Sam reuniting with The Nights Watch was also amazing, Sansa and Daenerys temporarily making peace was great while it lasted. There were honestly so many things about this episode I loved, and I'm going to be devestated next week when most of the characters who made it so great will inevitably die
  22. Pinning Ned Umber to the wall was a warning. They destroyed last Hearth and wiped out a noble house, they wanted someone to find him and know it was the NK and that he was coming for Winter fell next.
  23. A solid 8/10 for me. Brilliant first episode. Loved all the reunions, especially Jon/Arya,Gendry/Arya and Jaime/Bran. Loved when Jon found out who he really was and I am glad Daenerys told Sam she killed his family, because thats something that could've easily been forgotten and never mentioned again. Bran was hilarious throughout, I don't even think he meant to be. The scene at Last Hearth was terrifying and really hit home just how close the dead are getting to Winterfell.
