  1. Honestly, I like the Branposition and backstory scenes more than drawn out battle scenes lol
  2. Honestly though, wouldn't we have to see this happening? Even if it's vague, like say Danny eating a meal when Jon walks into her room right after the little girl walks out? We wouldn't know, but we could theorize. This is the end game, you have to show the reasoning for her going mad if it's not just 100% related to the "build up" the writers have included over the years. And with Varys dead there's no way to confirm (unless they waste time in interviewing they little girl in the finale). I just think varys was trying to kill her and failed.
  3. The rings are probably his signet seal for a letter he wrote, for the little girl they clunkily introduced to mail to Sansa or some other ally.
  4. Yes there is blood lust during and after battle and people do horrendous things. Yes, the Romans may have burned Carthage. But Danny wants to rule this City. Rule these people. Yes I can get her being angry, and know she's had some anger tendencies shown throughout the show. But burning the City of people that she wanted to rule was madness. Plain and simple. She was the one that told Yara the iron born would do no more reaving and raping under her rule. Sure, blow up the red keep to kill Cersei for everything she's done. But hundreds of thousands of people and the entire infrastructure of the capital is mad! And to think there will be no consequences to this is crazy. That army at parade attention in the final episode preview might as well be planning to march to the Westerlands, the Vale, the Reach, and the North to show her force and pacify the rest of the continent under her TYRANNY. Oh, and to find places for the refugees... And a new seat to rule from!
  5. I just... An entire rewatch of the series knowing what Danny becomes will be a little "bittersweet", as the show runners kept saying. But watching it in real time, it just feels disappointing. Despite what a lot of people have said, Danny did have a kind side and didn't always take the "mad" route. I don't think this level of crazy was warranted. I think if she'd flown just to the keep to kill Cersei it would've been borderline enough for her to face repercussions from Jon. But the entire City of Innocents and surrendering soldiers? Ugh
  6. At least the best music of the series was playing during the credits.
  7. Don't think anyone predicted Euron killing Jaimie
  8. Look, I've gone on psychopathic rages and murdered thousands of people, I think we all have, but this is just too far Danny!
  9. The GC is mounted.. Just charge and end it
  10. Didn't want to believe the Tyrion betrayals were true
  11. That Danny montage in the scenes from the last doesn't bode well...
  12. Lol I am rewatching and just noticed Pod took two girls with him lol
  13. I'm rewatching this scene right now, and the look is frustratingly going to go unanswered I'm sure. It's almost like Bran purposely conveyed strength/confidence with his dead stare to give away the fact that he had a secret plan, just so the NK would realize it at that moment. I'm sure the NK thought he had foiled it when he caught Arya in the midst of her 50" vertical leap to kill him.
  14. Yeah, I know I should feel that way, and on the surface the show is awesome, but I couldn't help feeling disappointed. But, my wife got annoyed at my breakdown of what I didn't like, and reminded me about the Louis CK skit where he talks about people on the first ever flight with WiFi bitching when it cuts out halfway through lol
  15. Did a rewatch and noticed a couple inconsequential things: Ned Umber was holding a knife while pinned on the wall. Tyrion totally overfilled Pod's wine cup after Brienne said only half a cup, and they shared a conspiratorial look lol
  16. Yeah, and Meera too, right? Does anyone know if the actress that plays her was a part of the season? I assume they'd keep the Howland Reed casting a secret.
  17. I totally agree with this - not just with regard to Bran, but to everything about the show recently. Why is so much happening off screen or not at all? To quote Dr. Strange, it's the muthafucking end game, yo! (Think that's the quote). No need to hold back anything from the audience unless there's some big twist. A cool one would be the Night King attacking KL, which I doubt happens since it would mean Bran totally fucked up by not seeing it happen.
  18. Yeah, I threw an 8 down originally, but the more I've thought about it...
  19. I'd LOVE something like this, but honestly I don't think the show has anything clever up it's sleeve. It pains me to say this since I was originally a book purist, but then decided years ago to ride with the show knowing GRRM would never compete the series. And it was good times for a bit, peaking with Hardhome. But man, the show has fallen off and every time I see complex "theories" online they are always proven wrong (other than the zombie dragon taking down the wall). The writing hasn't set up any of the cool Night ('s) King theories that sprouted from the books. He just "wants an endless night" now, according to Bran. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I'm scared this will just be a straight battle against the dead, and then an annoying human power struggle (Jon/Danny/Sansa/Cersei) for the iron throne after that. No Nissa Nissa theories, no complexity to the NK, etc.
  20. By my count that's the 3rd time an interruption has ended an important reveal/conversation. That's pretty horrible writing, but whatevs.
  21. I liked season 5 (Hardhome is still the best episode of the series for me), but I'd say better than 90% of S6 or S7.
  22. I gave it an 8. Lots of good stuff, and maybe I'm just a crazy epic fantasy fan, but I liked all of the more intimate conversations. Frankly, I could've watched a couple hours of everyone getting their last bit of peace before the flight to come. But, uh, yeah... Didn't need to see Arya topless. When all is said and done with this adaptation, her topless may be a bigger surprise to me than reading about Ned's beheading and the Red Wedding LOL
