If you read what I wrote you wouldn’t see it as “demeaning”

There are plenty of examples of this happening in our own history. It’s supposed to mean something like, ‘look at what this ruler accomplished despite their disability’

    [Spoilers] Episode 805 Discussion

From reading medieval texts of that period, especially in France, killing the civilian population, women and children included, after a surrender, would be a rare occurrence and if it happened would be absolutely looked down upon. You say it would be ludicrous for someone to care about innocent lives, you understand one of the tenants of knighthood was about protecting those who can’t protect themselves, right? Not to mention, the dynamic between the Church (the many Archibishops of cities, the Pope) and the temporal powers of the time. They would have been convicted of Heresy for those crimes.

    [Spoilers] Episode 805 Discussion

First impression: Other than Arya getting a lot better scenes than Jon and some other minor logical inconsistencies; i’m not going to nitpick on this one. This episode moved me, Lena Headey was the star.

Why are they plotting a coup?

I agree with everything you said... except that Arya and Sansa, of all people, have the right to criticize her and come out looking like the rightful judges of human virtue. All three of these gals are brats and are driven by the worst of intentions; if they don’t get their way they will throw a temper tantrum.
  6. Someone said Sansa was the only true Stark left. Was that what I was supposed to take from her this episode? Based on that premise, I feel like I should have been rooting for her. But, for me she just came off as jealous and overly vengeful. The drama was really forced.
  7. It was obviously deliberate. I thought it was a bold move and brought more mystery to some of the scenes. It makes you concentrate more, instead of taking it for granted when you see everything in crystal clear HD.
