  1. Imagine all the teeth-grinding Stannis would have to do if he was actually married to Cersei.
  2. This forum sure as hell is obsessed with rape. Can't wait for a thread with 300+ replies about a deep analysis on how Bran raped Hodor by warging into him without his consent. Or how Ghost constantly rapes Jon by forcing Jon to warg into him and how Jon struggles to resist.
  3. Ygritte did not rape Jon Snow. Ygritte saved Jon's life by lying to Mance that she and Jon have been fucking for a time as in that was supposed to be proof that Jon broke his oath and is one of them now. Later, she did all she could to seduce him, giving Jon endless boners etc until Jon gave in. No rape.
  4. Honestly, at this point, I'm just so tired of hating and ranting about Game of Thrones... but I'm still not over it, so I come to forums and watch videos about other people ranting... I think only Winds of Winter can cure this wound that D&D gave me.
  5. Personality-wise I'm a mix of Reek after escaping Winterfell and successfully remembering his name again and post-trial Tyrion hating his sister. Appearance-wise I look like some random peasant from the North.
  6. I'm honestly not joking. When they were sending Myrcella to Dorne, Varys wasn't there but Lollys was. In fact, every time we see Lollys, Varys isn't around and vice versa. Moreso, we know that Varys is a mummer and in ASOS Tyrion sees Varys disguised as a fat woman. Only thing that bugs me is that Lollys (actually Varys) got raped like 50 times so Varys' acting skills must be next level or he just enjoyed it.
  7. Lollys is varys in disguise. Didn't believe it at first but can't un-believe this anymore now.
  8. I had no idea people dislike the sex scenes in ASOIAF, then I came here and found out. Honestly, they're not bad.
  9. We don't need to see Bran ruling to see how hard it is to rule, we've seen Cersei, Jon and Dany do that.
  10. Has anybody considered the idea that Bran might become king 40+ years later after the main events in the epilogue? Everybody seems to think that a 10 or 11 year old Bran will be elected new king...
  11. Masha Heddle and her cakes and her smile.
  12. I read the entire grand Tyrell conspiracy multiple times and I just don't believe it. Can someone convince me it's believable? Written text doesn't much support it.
  13. Is that based on Tyrion seeing Varys disguised as a woman in Storm?
  14. This is an interesting theory. I need to re-read Dance as well, I didn't really get the whole Blackfyre thing on my first read, but after reading Dunk & Egg, it really got me in the mood to re-read the series with a new look at things.
  15. So I re-read Feast for the third time and finally realized from the first Jaime chapter that the gaoler in charge of the third level of the dungeons of the Red Keep is Varys in disguise. And I found a link that says GRRM confirms this. What interest me is why did Rugen/Varys let go of Biter, Rorge and the faceless man? Why did Varys send them to the Wall? Does Varys know about the mission Jaqen is sent to do in Oldtown? Did Varys send him?
  16. Okay, I agree with that. This I don't agree with. Loras is very much able to mourn Renly and he does do that. Offering sympathies to the widow instead of the dead husband's secret lover is totally OK. If the upset secret lover would have been a woman what would you call it then? Society is phobic towards the feelings of mistresses? Not everything negative towards gay people is homophobia. If a gay guy slips on ice then the weather is not homophobic. The term homophobia should not be used so lightly. Oxford dictionary says that homophobia is "a strong dislike and fear of homosexual people". If every little misunderstanding is homophobia then life is homophobic.
  17. Sansa doesn't make any assumptions either. She says that Renly's death must have been horrible for Margarey and then Loras gets upset and says why talk about Rebly when he is dead. Please explain the homophobia here.
  18. Answer this then. A crazy, hypothetical situation. Someone is throwing rocks at random people. That someone has no idea who these people are nor does Someone know anything about their sexuality. Is Someone a homophobe every time the rocks hits a homosexual but just violent every time the rock hits a straight person?
  19. It's funny how you accuse Sansa stans of being offended too easily and then go rant about how random microagressions are homophobia and offensive. But the case of Sansa and Loras in ASoS is not homophobia in any way. It's just someone being unknowingly insensitive. Sansa doesn't know Loras and Renly were really close, so she talks casually about Renly's murder. Think of somebody talking casually about Robb's death in the red wedding near Sansa. She'd likely go full hurt mode but most likely hiding it behind courtesy. Being insensitive to someone who is a homosexual is not homophobia if the reason for being insensitive is not the person's homosexuality. It's just being insensitive.
  20. I wonder what made them drop the "Tyrion is in love with Dany" storyline. A Jon-Dany-Tyrion love triangle in season 8 - this something so horribly bad I'd watch it just so I could hate it.
  21. Sansa doesn't even know that Loras is a homosexual, how can this case be homophobia?
  22. Although even though this one detail confuses me, I do like the ambiguity around Jon Arryn's death. If Littlefinger hadn't gotten him killed, then Cercei would have anyways. If Cercei hadn't, then Pycelle with his eagerness to protect house Lannister would have. Learning the horrible secret doomed him one way or another.
  23. I don't think Varys is talking about Petyr since the mention of Lysa fleeing from King's Landing and "him" prospering do not go together with Petyr, but with ser Hugh. Littlefinger prospered already before Lysa escaped King's Landing, ser Hugh's rise started just then. So this is what bothers my mind. Clearly Littlefinger orchestrated the whole thing, but exactly who gave Jon Arryn the poison is still unclear to me. Both ser hugh and Lysa seemed to do it.
  24. Stupid question, I know, but after re-reading AGoT and ASoS recently, I am confused. Varys, the Spider who knows everything, tells Eddard that ser Hugh of the Vale gave Jon Arryn the tears of Lys. At the end of AGoT the reader is to believe this is true. In the end of ASoS however, we find out from Lysa that SHE gave the tears of Lys to his husband. So was the whole ser Hugh thing just a cover-up created by Littlefinger? If so, then it was very cleverly done, since even Varys believes ser Hugh to be the poisoner. My conclusion from this is that Littlefinger is much more secretive and dangerous than Varys.
