  1. Many other subs also locked indefinetely.
  2. Well, she saw how her mother was killed for a male heir. She was made to give birth again and again. I see why Rhaenyra wanted to marry someone who had care for her, not just for her womb? Besides the show version of speed dating was stupid. She had no chance to choose.
  3. It is is just her justification of her claim. But she wanted to be the Queen.
  4. Would you agree that show Rhaenyra has or had a different overall goal as a character from her book version? Book Rhaenyra did want to become a Queen. She was raised with that thought and never wavered. Show Rhaenyra accepted it as her duty so I would define her goal as Carry on her legacy, not Becoming a ruler. Moreover they had different inner motivations. Book Rhaenyra most likely acted out of desire for prestige. Show Rhaenyra wanted her father's approval and attention, I think her inner motivation is low self-esteem. She is similar with Daemon in that desire. He didn't want the throne, he suffered from a "second son" syndrome.
  5. Do you think Daemon would have become such an awful king as Otto and Viserys feared?
  6. Their are not HER dragons. They were like Vhagar in HOTD, free to be claimed. She couldn't tame them anyway. Only one dragon will be hers. What is even the Dragons role in the future? One small dragon can't help in battle. Drogon is barely able to lift a horse now. They can act as small private jets only. They can be killed with scorpions. So I see them being killed one by one in the books just in another manner.
  7. Me personally is a tiny bit surprised he didn't just announced that he lost interest in the book. Maybe it will negatively affect sales of the previous ones? But it is not shameful to admit that "Sorry, I have other interests now, the book has lost its appeal."
  8. Well, them Lannisters will have to travel around 25 days or 15-20 by sea.
  9. Really? Never knew, where can I read something about it? Did the showrunner say it or? How much smaller?
  10. How much time did pass betwen Rhaenyra and Laenor berthrothal and their marriage? I think at least, Viserys had to invite all major lords. Ravens take 3-8 days to fly, depending on distance. The, the lords had to prepare and move. White Harbor- KL took Catelyn 16 days, add 2 weeks for travel between WH and KL - a month at least. From Lannisport it would take around 50 days to travel by roads (I mean an average speed 20 miles per day).
  11. Dany will never get mad if the book is never written. And I think it is the most probable variant.
  12. Regarding education. Was there a septa in the Dragonstone castle when Rhaenyra lived there? Was she teaching Rhaena and Baela?
  13. I once met a mother who lost one child.... She was unable to work from grief for a several months. I also have a relative who had issues with miscarriages and that really affected her. I think Rhaenyra and Haelaena's madnesses were shown quite realistically. I don't know what person wouldn't suffer mental instability after losing so much in short period of time.
  14. A whole country ruled by that wizard. Will he stop there or decide to invade some other country? Essos? What can stop him from imperial ambitions? I can agree with such ending, I just don't understand the thematic message here. George maybe thinks such wizard would be ideal, and I doubt it.
  15. Westeros is inspired by France monarchy with no female rulers? Though the difference is that France monarchy lasted 800 years and Westeros.. several thousands with no queens? King Bran in the book will have to rule through another person eventually. I can agree with Three Eyed Raven not having usual flesh desires but he had to care about his safety. So it will be like some of... modern leaders? Surrounded by hundreds of knights, sitting in some secluded place and preventing any attempts to overthrow him? I seriously doubt that GRRM intends to make Westeros an ideal place even after the war, so it is going to be that shitty dystopian setting but with a super magical ruler? I think we miss something here, some information to access the story.
