I really like this! Though in the version I have he inexplicably has rainbow hair - not that hair color is the most important factor. Nicknaming him the Hound is definitely a reference to Cuchulainn. I can't believe I never thought of that either! Now I have to look over the Tain again, and I'll make another post if I find anything else.
