  1. GRRM already said he won't give any answers to these questions, so you'll be good then.
  2. He would have sent Jaime to the Wall, Robb would become Prince of Dragonstone and I think he would take Jon Arryn as Hand. For the rest, it depends how many kids he would have had in this timeline and their age.
  3. Cersei, Joffrey, Viserys III, Littlefinger, Theon, Lysa, Victarion, Aeron.
  4. This is a psychopath trait. Joffrey would have become even worse than Aerys II had he reached adulthood. Thank God Olenna got rid of him.
  5. I agree with that. Though I don't believe Ned has any drop of Targ blood, but he's bloodrelated to Dany (and Robert) through their Blackwood ancestry. I think that Melantha and Betha are sisters or first cousins, meaning that Ned is the third or fourth cousin of Dany and Robert through their Blackwood ancestry.
  6. He's a Stark hater and Targ worshipper, don't waste your time with him.
  7. I know, but other women would care and it's still bad. You ask for my opinion as a woman, it has nothing to do with understanding Cersei here and I think I understand her better than you do. Then she wants power, just like I said. No I said "don't use the plot to absolve her of her crimes." The child would look like Robert, not Cersei. She sees her children and Jaime as extension of herself, she planned to kill Robert at some point in order to put Joffrey's ass, her own reflection, on the Iron Throne and rule through him.
  8. Well, I assumed boltons are sick was the only person to defend the poor Cersei, but Lord Varys joined the boat.
  9. It's bad because she is committing treason, put herself and especially her children at risk in doing so. And unlike us, she doesn't know what's gonna happen in the future, don't use the plot to absolve her of her crimes. I would do my duty because I wouldn't be in a modern society, the standards are not the same and it's ludicrous to apply moderns standards to my situation. No it's not, she wants power, she wants to be queen, she wants to rule and she is narcissistic. Fucking Robert is a mean to an end : Cersei's reign.
  10. Well it does have sense, since it is supported by the text. The fact that you can't stand Robert and think that Cersei has a free pass to do anything she wants because she has been abused is your problem, not ours. By the way, you should stop cursing at every post, it doesn't make them more relevant.
  11. 1. Jon Snow : He shares a lot of personality traits with me 2. Ned Stark : The father I would have liked to have 3. Tyrion Lannister : I love his sharp tongue and he's funny 4. Arya Stark : I like her adventurous side and her relationship with Jon 5. Edmure Tully : A lord who cares about smallfolk and do everything he can to protect them, of course I'll like him
  12. Screwing his sister was part of it, but he joined the Kingsguard because it was a honor for him and wanted fame like all young knights. Besides, he cared about the smallfolk and killed not only Aerys but also the other pyromancers after the Sack to protect them, that's what makes him a true knight. He wasn't a teen when the Tysha incident occured, since he was 20 years old and became a shithead in adulthood.
  13. The first sense is strong, as young means young. You brought this on yourself. No, it just means that Aerys underestimated Robert. Aerys picked him for both, or at least expected him to be.
  14. Sansa or Rickon at the end of the saga. Jon in the short term.
  15. Well if you want to go with the first sense, then you have to accept that vigorous means strong, not energetic. Young means young, but the text doesn't literally say that he's skilled at arms. It's suggested by the fact that Aerys was looking for someone as young and vigorous (so strong in the first sense) as Robert and he picked JonCon, who's a swordman. Since Robert is one of the Rebellion's best warriors, then JonCon is one of them too, not the greatest of course but part of it and Aerys thought it would be enough to handle his cousin. I never said that JonCon is the best swordman, Arthur Dayne holds this title, but one of the best. So he's way above average, but there are better swordmen than him and I think Rhaegar is part of it. That doesn't mean he's roughly equal to Robert though, no contradiction here.
  16. They don't deserve to be called "knights" except Teen Jaime. They are just...well kingsguards.
  17. The thing is that the term Valyria doesn't come from Indo-European language, but a fictional one. You cannot use it to make parallels with our real world, but you can do it with Andals, who are English speakers.
  18. Never said that, only that I'm not here to read your headcanon. Still doesn't change anything. Never said that either, only that Aerys was looking for someone as strong and energetic as Robert was (or at least supposed to be). Read the entire message before replying. The first sense of vigorous is strong, young already means "energetic" in this context. I know, that's what makes Robert a beast. He has defeated one of the best swordmen by using a sword, even though he's not a swordman himself. We're making progress here you've stopped reducing JonCon to a mere capable warrior, which is quote from the wiki, not the actual text by the way. That doesn't makes him roughly equal to Robert, since he didn't manage to inflict a life threatening wound to the beast who killed him while being wounded.
  19. 'Don't know but I'm not here to read your headcanon sorry. It doesn't change anything, Robert wouldn't be able to match someone who's way better than him in horsemanship. "Able and energetic" are not used in the same sentence as "his skills at arms", meaning that they refer to two different things. This is confirmed by "That, and his skill at arms", "Able and energetic" doesn't refer to his skill at arms but rather his ability as a commander. To refer to a capable warrior through the word "skill", Ser Kevan would have said "he's skilled at arms" instead of "his skills at arms" which is a generic expression that doesn't tell us anything about his martial level. "Vigor" means "strength" and "vigorous" means "strong", thus Aerys II wanted someone as strong (or at least supposed to be) as Robert was back then, who's an elite warrior. "Young" and "youth" already refer to "energetic" and "energy" in this context, it wouldn't make sense to separate two terms that have the same meaning.
