I saw some of that play out on twitter. That was nasty. -
Pat Rothfuss XVII: Games, Bets, and Minecraft

It's not the wait. It's that he constantly flat out lies to his fans then treats them like shit when called out on it. (Also, I mean, him not actually working on it during the wait). I'd also argue Martini and Lynch don't seem to actively seek the spotlight, Lynch in particular. Ha! Or it's like a single page. -

I'm a huge cynic. I'd real money that prologue has been sitting on his hard drive for a decade and he's just releasing it now cause people are finally catching on to his bullshit. -

Yeah that came out waaaaaay more harsh then I intended it to towards Lynch. I mean I'm not a big fan, but I feel real bad for the guy, he's obviously got a LOT of issues, and given everything he's said recently on it, I would not be shocked if he stopped writing and shifted careers. Might even be better for him. :/ Now Rothfuss, crap on that guy. -

Must be, I don’t see them anywhere now. Probably an overzealous fan. -

Please, I’d much rather have Sanderson Mac and cheese over Rothfuss’ or (gag) Lynch. Heck with regards to Lynch I’d say there’s a non zero possibility his writing days are over. -

Hmm, I always thought the whole alpha/beta readers manuscript thing was debunked as fake a long time ago. Even so, aren't some of the chapters only one page? I wouldn't put that past him at this point. Oh and if it's blue you probably have to mess with your settings. The board upgrade reset stuff. -
Gladstone has more craft books planned, don't know when he plans on writing them though. Oh and while I'm in here, anyone have thoughts on the October Daye(I think I spelled that right) series? The opinions on goodreads on that one are...wildly different. (I need to go back and read this thread it seems)

Oh! Someone else who read Rory Thorne! I loooooved those books but they seem to have flown way under the radar. Though I am like you, I can't remember when things are published any more, I don't think it was eligible for this year's Hugo? Maybe?
