  1. I have always hated ridiculous two characters being the same person theories such as Euron Greyjoy and Daario Naaris being the same or Mad Mouse being Howland Reed or Qhoryn Halfhand being Arthur Dayne.
  2. The Martell's symbol is the sun which by this logic put them far above the other great houses, even the Targaryens.
  3. Yes it's true that House Hoare's symbol was the Kraken, and that the Greyjoys are second only in power and wealth to the Targaryens.
  4. At the beggining of TWOW there is a tourney taking place in the Vale to name a new order of bodyguards for Robert Arryn and likely the following lords of the Vale inspired by the legendary Winged Knight, on Sansa's suggestion after she observerved how hearing tales of the Winged Knight comforted Sweetrobin. There are to be eight members of that new brotherhood, who are to serve and protect the Lord of the Vale for the next three years. The tourney is about to begin and has attracted the nobility of the Vale and many young and untested knights, eager to show their prowess after missing the War of the Five Kings. Amongst the various knights and nobles of the Vale, who do you think could end up becoming the new Winged Knights ? Who do you imagine becoming Robert and possibly also Sansa's, if she finds allies in them, bodyguards in the future ?
  5. It depends also of whenever magical animals such as wargs or dragons (if they can be warged) see more colors than normal animals or not.
  6. I strongly doubt that she'll ever set foot in the Dreadfort nor that she would want it or anything associated with Ramsay and the Boltons if she makes it so far.
  7. And I thought Dumb & Doofy were delusional and didn't understand the characters at all.
  8. Once she finally arrives in Westeros with her followers and armies, and openly presses her claim to be queen of the Seven Kingdoms, which region/kingdom do you think will be the biggest obstacle or source of opposition to Daenerys and her proclaimed title of queen of the Seven Kingdoms ? Which region should give her the most difficulties and headaches ? I am not taking in account the Long Night and War with the Others for obvious reasons. I do think that Dorne will become a real thorn in her side, much like for her ancestor Aegon, once the news of Quentyn's death by dragon fire reach Westeros, and after Arianne ties herself and Dorne with Aegon. I don't think the result is going to be pretty.
  9. Varys and Littlefinger are often presented by the fandom as the masters of the game of thrones in the saga, more cunning, manipulative and dangerous than any other player of the game so far, with them pulling the strings of the most impactful events in current Westeros and untouched by danger and threats so far. But no mastermind as cunning, smart, pragmatic and cautious as he/she is can avoid making mistakes or surprise events that might endanger their schemes and survival, and Varys and LF are no exceptions. What are the various mistakes they have done that could have backfired or may backfire on them in the long run ? What seeds have they unknowingly sowed that might spell their doom later in the story ? What are the worst mistakes or errors they have done, and how grave of a mistake/error is it ?
  10. Both Bittersteel and Bloodraven were assholes, and both caused untold amount of deaths and suffering because of their petty hatred and rivalry, it's one of these cases where there were no real good guy in the Blackfyre Rebellions.
  11. Targaryens and other Valyrian Dragonlords actually have the blood of the dragon inside them, as they have dragon DNA due to some extremely dark and twisted magical experiments and breeding done by Valyria Blood Mages to allow Valyrians to tame and control dragons more easily and faster than with regular taming or dragon horns and other magic artifacts that recquire sacrifices. This has some side effects, especially when Targaryens are exposed to blood magic again, and is the source of the horrific disformations of individuals such as Maelys the Monstruous and dragon-hybrid appearances of valyrian babies killed by miscarriages. Before she died Tyanna actually told Maegor that dark truth or that he was born thanks to Visenya having used blood magic to give birth to him, or both. This reveal crushed Maegor and caused him to become depressed and to be so lethargic at dealing with Jaehaerys and Rogar Baratheon, until he eventually killed himself.
  12. Above all Balon has some serious brain damage to be as dumb, delusional and narrow-minded as he was. I guess that his brain took too much damage from drowning.
  13. Sure they have merit, they have worked extremely hard and smart to earn a rope around their neck.
  14. Not enough men, money and supplies, and the men being stretched too thin to effectively watch over the Wall and Gift.
  15. And the Freys are perhaps the least and last persons qualified to talk and complain about Oathbreaking in all of Westeros.
  16. Comparing Catelyn and Cersei is laughable at best, disgusting at worst. Catelyn is nowhere near Cersei's level of vileness, cruelty and petiness and has far better and more positive relations with her family than Cersei.
  17. And even if she does survive Ramsay, she has no future in the North, being both a Bolton and a Frey.
  18. Though he doesn't have a legendary record I do think that Paxter isn't an incompetent admiral and war leader, he has no defeat or big failure on his part, and his methods to deal with the siege of Dragonstone which was of avoiding a direct assault on Dragonstone due its formidable defenses and instead starving the defenders out or finding and exploiting a flaw in the walls and foundations via mining to open a breach indicate that he's pragmatic and cautious, and wants to avoid big casualties. I do think that he would be able of winning and smashing the Ironborn under normal circumstances with his fleet's superior power and his leadership, but that Euron will pull some magic trick of his hat that Paxter won't have any defense against to allow the Ironborn to win this one.
  19. I don't know how or why this mad house hasn't been locked already.
  20. Both, first have them flayed and then burn them and the Dreadfort.
  21. I doubt that the Starks will be willing to give another chance to the Boltons after this last and most odious betrayal. Maybe they will spare Walda and her baby if the winter or Ramsay or something else don't get them first, but I doubt that they'll have any power or even a single building for them after. The Bolton lands are most likely going to be shared between loyal Stark bannermen such as the Manderly, Umber and Hornwood and perhaps house Thenn to give them a seat and some lands.
  22. Who amongst the lords, ladies, kings, queens, hands of the King, maesters and other various politicians and players of the game of thrones do you think aren't recognised and respected as much as they should be or should have been in spite of their undeniable political and ruling talents and record ? Who would you say are underrated politicians, rulers and players of the game in ASOIAF ?
  23. I don't believe that Euron is heading toward Essos, in Essos as Daario Naharis or someone else in disguise.
  24. When and how do you think that Euron's insanity and evil deeds will catch up with him and lead to his downfall and catastrophy for the Ironborn who made him their king and followed him in his madness ? What fate do you think should happen to Euron and his forces ? What actions has he done and will he do that will cause his doom in your opinion ? And who will be involved in his downfall ?
  25. As the Lord of the Arbor and head of House Redwyne, Paxter Redwyne is the current admiral of the Redwyne Fleet who has led his fleet to blocade Storm's End during Robert's Rebellion, supposedly assisted Stannis' fleet during the Greyjoy Rebellion and initially led the siege of Dragonstone during AFFC. Currently he's sailing toward the Shield Isles to battle the Ironborn led by Euron Greyjoy, who are deprived of a good portion of the Iron Fleet that has sailed to Essos under Victarion's captainship, and are threatening Oldtown. Based on Paxter's previous war efforts and participation in the current war and previous ones, his personality and reputation, how competent of an admiral do you think that he is ? How good and dangerous of a foe do you think that he's going to be to the Ironborn led by Euron in TWOW ?
