  1. I think even this match is a rather small issue in his decision making. At the end of the dance, it's clear that the black wins. Most of the Green allies were either surrendered or crushed. The only resistance fraction was the Hightowers (Main force already defeated in tumbletown), surrounded by the Black loyalists in the reach. But now the Blacks has three well-prepared main forces: the river Lords army (already won series of battles), The Vale army and the North army (Both strong and undamaged by the war). If the Blacks are willing to continue to crush the rest of the Greens and make a complete win That's totally ok. I understand Corlys' intention to avoid more bloodshed. Yet his over-apeasement is not necessary. With such overwhelming superiority he let the Green lords just surrender without any punishment? Just look at how the Blackfyre supporters were punished by land and castle being penalized for treason. I'd say the seem-to-be no-winner situation of the dance was solely caused by Corlys' postwar appeasement.
  2. I always feel like Corlys acted as a moral and good person in the dance, but def a bad ally.
  3. That would be an unknown area unless we will have a pov of him in the future (unlikely) But that makes him a interesting character to study for sure. However I don't think it's proper to discuss any character's unidentified emotional issue here haha. After all it's an official announcement post
  4. I feel like there's high possibility that Aegon personally being a firm supporter of his mother's claim his wholelife. He still remembered every single detail of his mother's murder when he confronted Marston Waters and reprimanded him harshly for it. That's the rare private occasion when Aegon showed his personal feelings. However, it would be controversial for him to openly show his attitude on this matter which would bring back the remains of the old conflict. That's the last thing he wanted to see after the war. So he just simply didn't mention it anymore.
  5. To me, Aegon just chose not to have a clear attitude in public regardless his personal feelings. He did have his personal thoughts which was unknown to everyone. Having too obvious favorism or preference is not a wanted quality for a ruler. Especially for the rulers like Aegon III who only wanted to recover the realm from war. So, I'd say we never know if he ever let the thing pass in his mind. But in action he did the right thing to let it pass
  6. You may reply to the wrong person. But for me succession war was always pointless but unavoidable. Inheritance crisis and conflict generated since the birth of dynasty. Even if it didn't break out during Viserys era it would break out any moment in the future. That's simply the regularity of history. And That's just my personal understanding
  7. Oh oh I feel like we have to stop here. I don't think it's a good place for fights for twitter topic. Let twitter topic stays in twitter or reddit
  8. Thank you! I get what you mean then there's no need to criticize George For that. You are being very patient to some obsessed Twitter fans and I admire you for it!
  9. Oh that would be very interesting! Is there's any chance for you to share some info about this unpublished third wife? Especially when she had her own textual story And well when I said Jaehaera can be younger, I mean she can simply be born a few yrs later, making her a twin for Maelor. And that change won't really affect the story and she can fit in the theory "why Aegon started to have children in 143ac" if she didn't die.
  10. Hi Elio, but I still don't think that explains why Jaehaera's killed. Your statement of age of giving birth can be simply solved by aging down Jaehaera. Her age doesn't affect the dance or any plotline, having a younger Jaehaera would also fit-in the in-universe rule of a young mother. So I guess you just explained why Daenaera has to be so young and why Jaehaera has too die this early. The explanation is for the age details of GRRM's original plot of "two wives of Aegon III", not for the plot itself right? BC as you mentioned the "two wives" already existed way back in 1999, the specific age thing he might only start to think over before he published " princess and Queen"
  11. Marry: Daenaera. Want her to hold me to sleep everyday cuz I have severe insomnia as Aegon did. Bang: Alysanne.she's a strong woman she can take it. Nothing personal, I love her still. Kill: Naerys. she's too fragile to be banged or ready to consmate the marriage. So sorry I will let u rest in peace dear. Nothing personal, I love her still Three female claimants to the iron throne but all failed. Rhaena Targaryen (daughter of Aenys) Rhaenys tqwnw Daena Targaryen
