  1. Yes, she did feed Vaemond to Syrax for insinuating that her sons were bastards!
  2. They made the tourney the wedding with the whole dress thing, although I wish Rhaenyra wore black. Alicent has little to no reason to do what she did. Declaring animosity because your best friend got laid, not very queenly.
  3. The DaemonxRhaenyra choke scene had some context. There is a deleted scene were Viserys tries to tell Daemon about the whole Aegon prophecy thing, but Daemon refuses to listen and storms out. Rhaenyra chuckling mockingly about Viserys never telling Daemon insinuates that he never considered the latter as his heir.
  4. It feels a bit rushed. There is little time to get to know the characters properly. We finally meet the Lannisters of this era. Proud and arrogant as ever I feel for Rhaenyra. Imagine being given a responsibility that you have begun to work towards. Then comes along another person. There's always the overhanging feeling that it will be taken from you, especially as a woman in medieval times when your worth is being given away in marriage. We rarely had parties like the hunting event in GOT. This is what Robert's hunt should have been like. Also, Larys. Often overlooked, yet always listening.
  5. The opening theme was nostalgic, but I feel they could have gone with a Targaryen theme like Blood of the Dragon. Maybe that's just me. Laena and Viserys. Now child marriages were common in the old ages, especially for nobles. It was all about tying houses and forming alliances, with is what game of thrones is all about. Age was a last thought. Viserys announcing who he would marry was easily predictable. There was no shock factor if that was intended. A blunder on his part, alienating the second wealthiest house in Westeros.
  6. That's how you open a story. The dragons got me excited. It's been a while and being back in the world of ice and fire got my blood pumping. The birth scene. Very direct, but this is what women went through in the old ages. The secret purpose and Aegon's dream were something I did not expect. I always thought the conqueror was driven by ambition.
