  1. Best episode of all three seasons. I want my knees back. 20/10
  2. 9/10 I thought the Sam bit at the end was dull, and the Mel bits kinda awkward. But the rest was really good. The wedding was hilarious. My favorites were Lena & Finn Jones. "Nobody cares..." And I know there are objections to how (understated) Daario looks, but I just find the actor so hot, I really don't care anymore.
  3. 10/10, because I'm really liking what they'r doing to the show overall and I think I'm going to stick to that grade from now on. But I don't know what happened to Jon Snow & Ygritte. Last season their story was among my favorites, now they're as boring as watching grass grow. And I don't know about everyone else, but I don't think I can stomach much Theon-torturing anymore. Dany was great, Jaime & the bear were great, and I really loved the Melissandre/Genry part.
  4. 7/10 Lowest episode for me, enjoyment wise. Many parts felt like fillers, some of them were so removed from the books I'm a bit puzzled about the direction of those developments, and Ros' death... Well, now I'm just confused about her purpose in this show at all, because her killing was so pointless. Maybe the creators finally got the clue that the fanbase was not supportive of her.
  5. 10/10 , though it was more of a 9/10. Gave it a 10 because I really liked Jaime's bath scene and Robb's execution scene. I finally like what they are doing to Robb's story, finally get the feeling that he is trying to be his father, but not quite pulling it off yet, which is how I got it from the books. Grey Worm was pretty good, too. And Jesus, is Olenna-the character fantastic! :) ETA: Disliked the baby embryos whatever scene. What the actual.
  6. With great delay, I give it a 10/10, like the majority. There's not much to say. I cried like a baby during the Dany scene. But Mormont's farewell was pretty epic, too. And <3 Sandor.
  7. 10/10. Simply amazing. I swear, Tobias Menzies must be the most talented underrated actor to ever walk this Earth. And I love, love everything about the BWB, particularly Thoros, who got Mormont-ed, meaning he's far more attractive in the movie than he was supposed to be!!! But really, just flawless execution of everything in this episode. /sniff Jaime.
  8. I gave it a 7/10 because some parts were weaker, and also because I want to give myself some space before I get to the 10/10s. :P I really enjoyed it, though. Most of all loved the Dany scenes, and I totally burst into tears when Ros speaks about how the bells rang from dawn to evening at Winterfell when Sansa was born. It kinda reminded me of Ned and his love for the kids. :)
  9. 9. Good finale, but I liked the one from S1 much better. This one seemed to lack a certain epicness.
  10. 10/10. Rains of Castamere. Rains of friggin Castamere, man.
  11. My first 10/10 since this series began, and it's all for Ygritte and Jaime's scenes. Brilliant.
  12. 8/10. Kinda underwhelmed by Dany's scenes, but there rest of the episode was good. Arya & Co. = perfect, just perfect.
  13. 7/10 Lancel was great. So was Mel. And Arya. (Arya's always great anyway.) And Tywin. (Tywin's perfect.) A bit too dark for my taste, though I'm not saying it was bad at all.
  14. Had no idea that it's so expensive to make fake heads. But it makes sense to save every penny, if that's the case. Thank you!
  15. Thank you! That's not quite what I meant, though. I know everyone thinks it's Rakharo... but based on the fact that Jorah saw what? A bit of hair and a ponytail? I just find it curious that in a show with so much gore/violence/etc, they shy from showing us his face. Eh. I'm probably just making a big case from nothing.
  16. Haven't read all 18 pages of this thread, but are we sure Rakharo is dead? There was something about that scene, like not quite showing his head out of that bag, that made me thinking they might be trying to pull something up. Dunno. Not in denial or anything, just seems odd to kill a character that lives all the way to ADWD.
  17. I gave it a 7. Loved the Pyke (amazing cinematography) and the Greyjoys (amazing cast), and everything involving Arya. I think it helps at this point that I haven't read ACoK in, what, 2-3 years? I can hardly remember all the details, so when the show goes astray (because I get the feeling that it's kinda starting to) it mostly goes over my head and I can still enjoy the beautiful work of art this series is. Also, three cheers for Ros with her clothes on.
  18. I love it when we slam actors after their first scene. Maybe his indication from the director was different from what you were expecting to see when you read that scene? Could also be, no? I thought he was awkward, confused and totally lost, but he didn't struck me as "terrible" at his craft. Totally. And I love what they've done to her looks, as well. She seems more of a lioness now, and less the battered housewife she was in season one.
  19. You didn't find him disgusting enough? I was shivering every time he looked at Jon, lol.
  20. I gave it an 8, and felt it was a really great episode. Perhaps a bit slow on plotting, but that was to be expected from the first. The Lannister cast took the prize as far as I'm concerned (Lena is up ten notches!), but it was so good to see everyone again, they could have probably played with a bucket on their heads and I wouldn't have cared. A little disappointed with Jon's scenes so far. I hope there's a rerun. Soon.
  21. It got an 8 from me, and I thought it was good, but the last two episodes before it were even better. Jon's final scene really stood out for me, so did Sansa's, but I wish they've given Robb, Catelyn and Jaime more. The dragons were very nicely done, and so was the crypt scene with Shaggydog. :)
  22. I, too, got the impression of low budget, and some of the people I know in real life have also told me this as one of their first reactions to the series. I'm definitely not complaining here - I enjoyed the show, despite its flaws - and I certainly wasn't expecting something like LOTR, but it's just that nagging feeling that they have been avoiding everything in the books that exceeded a certain size: lack of battles, more inside scenes than outside, limited number of actors and extras on screen, limited CGI... I mean, take for instance The Wall. How many times do we have a slow, wide panoramic view of what can be seen from its top? A few times only, and even then, it's corners of the image, Tyrion pissing on half the screen, wood and torches and whathaveyou obscuring the other side, and so on. The battles are probably the most obvious part of it all. Robb had 18.000 men fighting? Where? At times, the show was more telling than showing. That being said, some of the scenes were very, very well done. Credit goes to the actors, mostly. Best part of the series for me.
  23. Of course you can. You can do anything you want to. But it doesn't have to be good, though. 9 for me. Should have been a 10, but they skipped the first battle, and poorly handled the second. The rest was fantastic, especially Dany's scenes, which literally gave me goose bumps.
  24. I gave it a 9. It was the best episode so far for me. It felt dense and solid, lacking the highs and lows of previous episodes. I also agree 100% with Ran: One observation: seeing Robb getting enough attention this episode, I really wish he had been given more development throughout the show. It felt awfully abrupt compared with what we've seen of him so far.
