  1. Is there somewhere that explains this theory more, because I have to admit I don't understand how people could come up with this from The World of Ice and Fire.
  2. Some butthurt book fan I bet. (Coming from a sometimes butthurt book fan)
  3. In the aftershow D&D said something about the White Walkers using the symbols of their creators, the Children. But I cannot for the life of me figure out what that would mean or why they would be doing that.
  4. There was a close of up a man on fire who I thought looked like Randyll but I couldn't tell for certain. I'm hoping they died since they decided to saved Bronn and Jaime with plot armor.
  5. I did too. I was smiling during this scene because you could see how impressed Brienne was and how Arya knew that she would be fighting in a style that would throw Brienne off of her game. I really enjoyed that scene. As well as all of the Stark sibling scenes in tonight's episode.
  6. I loved this episode. Loved it more than any before I think. But, Jaime should have died. C'mon. This is the show that made it's name off of the "not rescuing the hero at the last minute" and they continually were rescuing the hero in that scene. But that's my biggest gripe, because from start to finish this was great.
  7. After what was an amazing low for me last week, this was an amazing high for me this week. Probably the best episode ever. I was so much more into that dragon battle than I ever expected I would be! I was on edge the whole time and could feel my heart racing. It was phenomenal and beautifully done.
  8. A very sloppy episode imo. It felt rushed and like they wanted to just cut the budget, almost like in Season 1. I gave it a 3/10, the lowest I've given anything in a long time.
  9. Yeah, I agree. Olenna is right in that they should have just attacked. Instead she made known her presence and then delayed even longer. I get that she doesn't want to be the Queen of Ashes and I respect her for wanting to fight this war with the least amount of civilian deaths, but if she is so determined to just seize the capital by force, then she should have done it immediately. Now a prolonged war will give Cersei time to develop weapons, and, I would suspect, put Aerys' backup plan back into commission.
  10. Is it really that much more expensive to use the wolves than three dragons? Or huge battles on ships?
  11. Well they essentially nerf'ed Jaime's character last season and are only just now starting his "damn this woman is evil" storyline.
  12. Because they haven't just been confirming fan theories ever since they ran out of GRRM's written material...
  13. She's returning home, but I think the scene with Nymeria was about showing you that Winterfell isn't "her" anymore. I don't expect her reunion with any of her siblings to be happy and warm either.
  14. I enjoyed this episode overall, had some really great scenes. As a full episode It wasn't as good for me as last week's though.
  15. With that ridiculously laughable entrance, I don't think he snuck up on anyone.
  16. ...that was the point. It wasn't the happy reunion people would expect because Arya isn't the same. She's cold and hardened now and much more like the Hound. The point was to be cold and awkward.
  17. This was a good episode, I don't know if i liked it more than last weeks but it had one of the best scenes in the entire series imo, that between Varys and Dany at the beginning. FINALLY, some character growth from Dany and I loved the bit about telling her if she's not whats best for the people for Westeros. As for the Euron and Yara stuff, it was to be expected. I knew going into the episode that they were the gift, so it wasn't much of a shock for me. I do think it felt a bit rushed to introduce the plot and then pretty much destroy that plan. Also, Nymeria, holy hell. That's a big wolf!
  18. I gave it a 9 in terms of first-episode-of-the-season. It was a really great first episode to get the season going. Arya's scene was cool. I loved Sansa's chance at finally getting to play the game. The Hound's redemption arc is really beautiful. Was excited to see Jaime finally not cowtowing to Cersei's every whim. I really hope that he is the one to finally do her in, in a Mad Kind "kill the mall" kinda way.
  19. A really great premiere. Nothing over the top, but it was a solid episode throughout the whole hour and things still moved forward for many characters.
  20. I gave it a 9. It was a solid episode. All those 1's seem to be from people who are butthurt about "fan fiction" or Stannis. Stannis isn't really dead, and blame GRRM because he doesn't write fast enough. The episode itself had a lot of jumping around but it gave us good ending points for all of our characters and didn't feel rushed or too long or whatever. It was a good episode.
  21. I can't help but wonder whats going to happen in King's Landing now. Why did they make the decision to have Varys not kill Kevan and keep him alive to share rule with Cersei?
  22. Yeah, there's no doubt in my mind that Olly will still be stabbing Jon. The whole Sam "sometimes you have do to things that others don't think is right" speech was not changing Olly's mind, but pushing him further to deciding to help stop Jon.
  23. fwiw, I hated it too because I thought it was boring and Dany didn't come to any important discoveries from her rule. But the one major scene she seems to have had was at the end - and that either means she'll just start killing and burning shit in Meereen or Westeros. Either way, I'm not sure if it sets her up as your traditional savior.
