A big thank you to The Mastiff for such a great, detailed report! I'm so disappointed I missed Days of Ice and Fire in MN. I was in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area for work right before the event but couldn't stay. I don't even know where to begin on this Davos chapter. Lots of interesting observations as ever from Davos. Looks like the Targaryens are still remembered with some fondness and jest even in the far North (King Robert is turning over in his grave, I'm sure). Very interesting comments about the baby Prince Aegon. I can't wait to see the Young Grif. Davos meeting Lord Manderly will be a great read. I could see Lord Manderly becoming a pretty important character in the remaining books -his money, knights, ships and position in the North will make all the difference. I really hope the Manderlys are still loyal to the Starks in their heart of hearts. If Osha and Rickon are with Manderly, Lord Manderly is sooooo playing the Freys and Lannisters to get his son back. Also, IF Rickon and Osha are safely with Lord Manderly, it's my hope that Manderly will at some point contact Jon Snow regarding his brothers. Because, if Lord Manderly knows that Rickon is alive, he also must know Bran is alive as well. I'm so curious if Davos will come across Osha and Rickon in any shape or form. I could see Osha and Rickon blending in somewhere in White Harbor (if they aren't being kept under wraps by Lord M), but what about Shaggydog? Shaggy isn't the "blending in" type of direwolf.
