Notable that the court says the principle of sending asylum seekers to a third country is lawful, it’s specifically the Rwanda plan that is unlawful. Gives the government the opportunity to try again if they can get Rwanda to fix their system. -

Braverman’s finally been sacked -
I disagree - for a casual or movie-only viewer it’s clear enough that Saber is basically Shield in space, all they need to know from Wandavision is contained in Monica’s explanation to Carol of how she got her powers and the memory flashback scenes, and all they need to know about Kate Bishop is that she’s a young hero who Kamala’s trying to recruit for her new team. Sure, you’ll get more out of it if you have seen those shows (hello pizza dog) but there’s enough context given in the movie.

Whoever chose the song for that scene deserves a massive bonus

Wasn’t Badenoch the one who launched her campaign for Tory leader last year in a venue that had unisex toilets and got her staff to go round and sellotape pieces of paper over the signs? -
This led me to look up the other rare dismissal types, and I discovered that while there’s been a few internationals where people have been out obstructing the field or handled the ball, there has only been one hit ball twice, which was earlier this year in a T20 between Malta and Romania

That was how OB fixed Loki’s time-skipping problem in episode 1 - he had to prune himself so he could get pulled out of the loom or something but he lost his pruning stick so older Loki had to do it.

In accordance with ancient law and tradition, there is currently a bale of straw hanging underneath a bridge in London to warn shipping on the Thames of reduced headroom https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/oct/18/millennium-bridge-workers-forced-to-hang-straw-bales-after-ancient-bylaw-triggered -

Wheel of Time 4: Burning Threads [Book Spoilers]
Maltaran replied to SpaceChampion's topic in Entertainment
That’s because the Forsaken all thought the TP too dangerous to use regularly, except for Ishamael/Moridin, and the others thought he was crazy anyway. So the only interaction we got was the “crossing the streams” in Shadar Logoth at the end of CoS -

In which note, he got named by Moghedien in the dialogue so he’s definitely in. This gives us five named Forsaken so far, the three who’ve appeared plus Graendal and Sammael. So if they are cutting down to eight, that leaves three more. I think there’s a general consensus that Asmodean is in, so who are the other two to make the cut? Demandred and Rahvin? -
What I don’t understand is why Labour haven’t come out and said we’re going to keep HS2 if we win. It seems like a big obvious move to show that they aren’t just Tory lite, and would be popular in the Northern seats they need to win back.

[Book Spoilers] Wheel of Time 3: Black Ajahpaloosa
Maltaran replied to SpaceChampion's topic in Entertainment
But that was because in the books RJ kept repeating the prophecies about the Stone not falling until the Dragon took Callandor, and how everyone knew this was what would prove he wasn’t just another false Dragon. The show hasn’t mentioned this at all. -
[Book Spoilers] Wheel of Time 3: Black Ajahpaloosa
Maltaran replied to SpaceChampion's topic in Entertainment
They haven’t done anything in the show to set up Tear and Callandor, whereas in the books, the fall of the Stone was the most well known of the Prophecies and the biggest indicator to the general population that Rand was the real Dragon Reborn. The show seems to be making Falme and “bannered across the sky in fire” that marker instead. As far as adapting TSR for S3 goes, they’d better get the Aiel history sequence right.
