And is the show really implying that the North is not only going to betray the Starks but join up with a kinslayer? Isnt a kinslaying supposed to be the greatest crime one can commit, right along with breaking guest right. Fuck it.
Some of the North.
SpoilerThe rumors are that Umber and Karstark fight for the Boltons, Hornwood and Mormont fight for Jon.

Gives Jon something righteous to do: execute an old man and a child for his own murder.
But wait, are they not absolved of that crime? Maybe now it was only attempted murder of their Lord Commander?
Oh never mind: that’s still a capital crime. Ed, fetch me an axe.
Given that she, you know, resurrected him, I think it only right Jon lets her roast them alive for good weather on the way to Winterfell.

Thank R'hllor they kept Alliser Thorne and Ollie alive!
-
It really will be interesting how everybody will regard Jon and Melisandre at this point. From the point of view of a normal person, they are both scary.
-
Carice is undoubtedly happy. No more getting abused online.

I think next season we will find out how much damaged this season has caused to the franchise. If Martin manages to release the book before the season starts, that will be the killing blow.
The killing blow? The show just aired its most watched episode!

i would have as showrunners made a big deal about the hair part of his contract and then had him cut it after this episode and dye it blond.
That might be going too far. I do not want him wearing a wig during the sixth season. I already hate most of the wigs on the show.
-
I love how the Unsullied went from wanting Melisandre dead to being her biggest backers.
-
I actually give Kit a lot of credit for giving the effort about the whole thing. Granted, there is only so much he can do. It is not like he is going to walk around under a blanket for six months.
-
The problem with these interviewers is that they are allowing Benioff, Weiss and Harington to doge the issue by asking the wrong question.
The question is not whether Jon is dead, of course he is dead, the right question is: will he be revived?
-
i love the juxtaposition of this board and these reviews.
It is not as bad as all that. One contingent is simply more vocal. As of this writing, 721 people have voted, well more than half (391) have given the show a 7 or higher.

I really wanted to give the episode a 10, I mean, Lena herself almost made it that, but . . . "bad pussy" . . .
-
I gave it a 9. I had to subtract a point simply because of Dorne.
-
I for one enjoyed the episode very much except the Dorne bit. I would have loved if they at least included "fire and blood."
-
Well, now at least we know who will be reviving Jon Snow. It was long suspected, but this episode pretty much confirmed it.
-
I hope the next episode. As many characters as possible should be put out of their show misery ASAP.
Well, they have definitely advanced his story. It looks like he will not be having his confrontation with Daenerys. He does not have a heir. So what, really, is there left for him to do?
-
Is it fair to assume Brienne is going to kill Stannis? At this point I am just wondering whether it will be in the next episode or next season.
-
I might have the wrong impression about this but I always envisioned Stannis burning Shireen as the last act in his fall. If they have moved it up this much, I figure Stannis will be dying soon.
It looks like instead of Daenerys v. Aegon --> Daenerys v. Stannis --> Daenerys v. the Others, it will just be Daenerys v. Others.
-
Not only that. Benioff strongly implies that Stannis will be responsible in the books as well.
That was the implication, yes, but you have to think it will be for something more than less inclement weather. I mean, all that lead up for that? What about waking dragons from stone? And all those dreams Shireen has of a dragon eating her?
-
Even if Stannis does burn Shireen in the books, why would they move this up? This changes everything about the Battle of Winterfell.

-
By the way, in the preview for the next episode, did anyone catch Melisandre looking into her fires and turning away with a stunned expression?
-
Lost in all this but I thought Lena was wonderful.
-
:lmao: I love every second of it.
Not that I am not enjoying the scenes; in fact, they were quite entertaining. But it was the first time that I actually felt strange watching the television adaption.
[Poll] How would you rate episode 604?

Very lackluster episode. Hardly any plot progression. A series of scenes all too long by a half. Many characters acting completely out of character from their book versions.
