Just some thoughts. 1.) i remember reading that this season would have a battle that put the blackwater to shame, and that D&D were looking for a larger budget to fund it. I guess that never happened then? the Red wedding while awesome was hardly a "battle" it was just a few jump cuts of individuals getting killed, nothing near the scope of the blackwater 2.)did that guy release the transcript of Talisa's letter? 3.) Maisie absolutely killed it. Her hand shaking while holding the coin after doing the deed, just incredible. how she went from anger, to "please sir im cold and hungry" face, to Murderous rage. Just incredible. Although i would have liked a "A Wolf enjoys the taste of frey" or something along those lines after she said "But im hungry, i have money!" I will say that this season felt shorter than the others, and i think there is a very real chance that the show passes the books.

awesome episode Maise absolutely killed it. every scene, every line. If she doesnt get at least a nomination for an emmy this year something is seriously wrong Shireen. Adoable. Stannis Hard sour shell, Soft gooey center. excellent Robb, Dark, angry, at the end of his rope. brilliant all the counter plotting amazballs rose leslie kissed by fire and cut from stone Jamies monologue even better in video form the end credits song, so much better then the punk rock bear and the maiden fair MAISE holy christ girl putting on a clinic Thoros and arya chat was great. Sandor and Berics fight this episode felt like an hour and a half not 55 minutes LOVED it 10/10 would watch again

the chaos being mentioned was the NW members loyal to the old bear fighting with the NW members who were allied with the group that killed him. I believe in the book, crasters daughters were raped and all things that come with sacking a keep(in this case, hut) so i wouldn't be surprised to see next episode open with the aftermath of the battle.

Cruel and ruthless? faceless men are the complete opposite. Kill only the person you are meant too, harm nobody else. A number of times tywin has been said to be willing to do anything. For instance Battle of the bells "Tywin would have burned that entire villiage to the ground" where as griff mearly offered people rewards for turning over robert. Thats the difference. Twin is ruthless and cruel, Arya is Cold and calculating, and precise. Twyin could have had robbs food posioned at the red wedding, but instead he kill most of the norths party.

this episode was very hit and miss for me. Loved everything in harrenhal Hated everything in Qarth the Kings landing scenes were good, the sansa attack was great until the hound portion, it didnt look very realistice, with wierd camera work kind of ruined it. The hound was great, the attackers great, and sansa great but the actual camera work ruined it. The rob stuff wasn't horrible The winterfel stuff was good. "Where are my dragons" was one of the worst lines in the series, this episodes dany stuff just felt really poorly written, but the spice merchant was good. I'm not sure if this is the writing or emila clarke's fault. Kind of middle of the road for me.

Here with Stannis, Stannis became King because Robert died with no true-born children. For Stannis to deny this would be tantamount to treason in Stannis' mind. His duty requires him to be King once Robert accepted the crown. Stannis always thought it was a possibility and now has to (as opposed to "wants to") act on it. This is what makes Renly's treason so anathema in Satnnis' mind; Renly is absolutely not the King. Renly's argument - that "nobody" wants Stannis to be "their" King -is irrelevant; nobody elected Robert, Aerys, Daeron or Aegon King; "want" has absolutely nothing to do with this. Renly is Stannis' heir and that should have been that- the same way Stannis was Robert's. Stannis Baratheon is doing his duty; people ignore this because Stannis' duty is not one that requires sacrafice; "Its Good to Be King" as Tom Petty said many moons ago, and so if Stannis is trying to be King nobody attaches good or noble motives to that. But take a step back- much in the same way Ned and Jon and Robb and many others do their duty is the same way Stannis does his. That- in and of itself -has nobility and honor to it. Though.... he could be nicer about it ... Your whole arguement though is defeated with one monologue from maester Aemon in season 1. It was his duty to take the thone, and he declined it to become a maester. If Stannis didn't want to be king, he had a brother who could accept the seat in his place. if Stannis didnt want to be king he had a choice and he chose to go to war over something he didnt even want. Ned accepted King roberts offer to be hand because there was literally nobody else. Jon arryn was dead, Robert had no other true friends left. Stannis had a choice, Ned did not.
