  1. Other than Third Age and Stainless Steel I have not tried any of these mods. I know Planet War was recently released, and it just looks weird. Some of the other ones, like the Kingdoms Grand Campaign, look very similar to Stainless Steel. And I've just noticed they are working on a 7.0 version for SS. Nice! Also that Arthurian mod is for Rome TW, not Medieval 2, so make sure you have that installed. There is also a Warhammer mod. I have not tried it, though. If are going to try Third Age, make sure to also install Patch 3.2 and try the sub-mod MOS which adds a bunch of cool stuff.
  2. 9/10. Almost perfect, and certainly one of the most entertaining episodes thanks to Tyrion the Drunk. Also, I couldn't help but applaud to the Sam the Slayer scene. The way the Other broke the steel sword and then himself got shattered by the dagger was amazing. Wish we had Coldhands in there, though. He might still show up otherwise how will Sam find the hidden door in the Wall.
  3. 7/10 The Wall climb was excellent, Ros's death was a shocker (because that's about the only thing that can shock us readers), Bolton, Jaime and Brienne scene was good, as was Ramsay's torture of Theon. The guy is very much more than a match for Joffrey in the psycho rankings. The rest of the episode was kinda weak. Didn't like the Melisandre showing up and taking Gendry, not because it was far off from the books, but simply because the plot moved in a non-sensical way. Even Melisandre with her fires would not have been able to find the BWB. Oh, and did Loras really say "French sleeves?" Cause if he did, that would definitely make it the worst line in the entire series.
  4. TEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Despite the diminishing of Loras's character and the dead babies (that was a WTF moment) Pleasantly surprised at seeing Yunkai on the map, as well as Grey Worm. The fight between the Hound and Beric was excellent, but the highlight was Jaime's story and how it ended "My name is Jaime"
  5. 10/10 just because of the Queen of Thorns and the mention of Howland Reed. Catetlyn's scene with what's her name could have been much worse, but thankfully it wasn't.
  6. I think 7/10, with the Tyrion/Tywin dialogue and Barristan being the high points of the episode. Margaery playing Mother Teresa and Robb at Harrenhal the lower points.
  7. 8/10 This episodes had ups and downs. One definite up was the last scene. All morning the "Three Blasts" theme played in my head, as did that image of the Other. The House of the Undying was not bad, especially the image of the throne room, because that is how I imagine it will look like at one point before the end of the series. Worst parts: the sack of Winterfell and the ruining of Robb's character (and as always Ros)
  8. Regarding Hollywoodizing Stannis and other major characters in any movie/show, it's the fact that they rarely given them helmets. Stannis could have had his head crushed. But this episode: 10 10 10 10 10, 10 on everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Did you try uninstalling it and installing it again? Are you playing with the CD, or did you get a fix/crack to play without it? What version did you get? I have the Gold Edition, which has the vanilla + Kingdoms together.
  10. 8/10 Yeah I try not to judge by the book, but some things didn't make sense so -1 for that, and Jaqen hasn't changed his face -1 for that.
  11. What Werthead said. Meanwhile to pass the time I recommend you play the original Medieval 2 and the Kingdoms expansion, just to be familiar with it, and then try another great mod: Third Age Total War 3.1 which is in Middle-earth.
  12. I have officially given up comparing the plot of the books with that of the show. The only thing I'm still hanging on to is the character portrayal. I never liked how Renly was portrayed, and for the new characters, I don't like Roose Bolton, because he is too lively, and I am not sure about Xaro. I am giving this episode 10 (and should probably give better grades to the previous ones, too) It was exciting and entertaining. Actually the episode deserves a 10 on Joffrey getting slapped alone. I loved the interaction between Tywin and Arya and Lorch's timely assassination. The scene in the streets of King's Landing, and especially the Hound rescuing Sansa was gold. Also Jon & Ygritte were funny. I didn't quite like how the episode began, it felt too rushed, but Rodrik's execution was a powerful moment. I am not sure what to think about Dany's last scene, but one could wonder why this didn't happen in the book as well.
  13. Gave it an 8. Seeing Stannis's fleet gives me hope for the Blackwater.
  14. I am sure in 30 pages others have brought this up, but if not: Has anyone else thought that the old woman imprisoned with Arya at Harrenhal who says they killed her son was a very close image of Lady Stoneheart, minus the face scars?
  15. I am going to try to do that. I gave it a 7 because of the increased deviations from the book, but it probably deserves a 9. It will be difficult to forget about the book when watching the show. Maybe as long as my favorite scenes are there, I will be happy. In fact the only part I frowned upon was the quick jumping between scenes regarding Renly and Stannis. One moment Littlefinger is touring around Renly's camp, then Renly and Stannis are meeting (NO PEACH!!!) and then Davos is rowing Melisandre to... where? There is no mention of Storm's End and why Davos had to take Mel into a cave with iron bars that didn't use to be there.
  16. I gave it an 8 -1 for the Renly-Loras thing -1 for Yoren being the inspiration for Arya's prayer, and implying that Littlefinger will influence Catelyn's future actions.
  17. Didn't like the Rakharo thing one bit. Something tells me that he still would have had a role to play past ADWD. Maybe now they can bring Jogo.
  18. 7.5/10 When I saw Roz, I was starting to think that we won't see Arya, but at least it ended with her, and the episode had a good finish. I liked the fact that they kept showing the red comet, and was most pleased with Bran's wolf dream.
  19. Caught a tiny mistake. Jarman Buckwell survived the Battle of the Fist of the First Men and was one of the few to return to Castle Black. This is correct, and the wiki says so when you read about him. However, if you go to the Night's Watch page where all the brothers are listed, it says he was killed at the Fist.
  20. I gave it a 10 because it's my favorite episode so far, and I am not just being biased cause Marting wrote it. One thing I was pleasantly surprised was that unlike every single other episode, this one did not have a piece of dialog that was too lengthy, and boring and out of character. Still no flashbacks. Maybe Ned will have one next week just before the end. And my biggest disappointment was that there is no Blackfish.
  21. Sorry if this was asked before but did you guys go through and updated/changed the coat of arms of some houses? I noticed the that striding huntsman of Tarly is no longer striding, but riding and shooting a composite horse bow very much like a Dothraki.
  22. Don't know where to post this, but I just discovered this really funny youtube video It's a parody of the first episode.
