Masters of the Air (new WWII AppleTV series) [SPOILERS]

Which scene was that? I would think the doors need to be locked to not open at the wrong time by accident. They certainly weren't used the best way. Maybe if we had seen a mission where they provided escort to the bombers (even if not the 100th), it would have been better. It was Crosby who wrote a book that the show used, hence why he is the narrator. I do agree that it would have been nice if this show had followed the BOB format of having interviews with veterans at the beginning of each episode, but recall that in BOB they only revealed their names at the very end, probably to keep the tension up for the audience (I suspect most viewers were unfamiliar with the individuals that were part of E Co, and the same can be said of these fliers). So telling you before the final episode that Rosie becomes a prosecutor for the Nuremberg trials wouldn't have worked. And the show did specifically establish from the beginning he was Jewish, and that explained his drive to keep fighting. So I think the death camp scene still hit appropriately and you could say that him seeing that is what made him become a prosecutor. (I have no idea if it's true that he saw that camp then before the war ended). -
I don't think I've played more than 1 hour across all Halo games, so my opinion is just about the show and I find it OK. Season 2 has been mostly better than season 1. That being said, your opinion is the first completely positive comment from a gamer I've seen. (unless you're being entirely sarcastic. Poe's Law?)

Masters of the Air (new WWII AppleTV series) [SPOILERS]

A strong finale. While overall, it wasn't as good as Band of Brothers (nothing is though), I enjoyed the show. -
X-Men '97 creator, Beau DeMayo, has been fired, just ahead of the show's premiere next week. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/marvel-shocker-x-men-97-creator-beau-demayo-fired-1235850423/ No reasons have been given for his firing, but he deleted his Instagram account. DeMayo had also been a writer for Moon Knight and the upcoming Blade movie.

Still needs Overse, Arada's partner. (And Volescu, but he was the most minor of the side characters out of the group and doesn't appear again). Overse has a bigger role in Network Effect. -
Masters of the Air (new WWII AppleTV series) [SPOILERS]

The latest episode disappointed me in that it didn't follow through on the setup of the previous episode - the Allies' plan to destroy the Luftwaffe prior to the invasion to secure air superiority. It strongly implied that the bombers were going to continue to have a tough time as they were going to be the bait while the P-51s would destroy the enemy. Instead it skips to D-Day, and even that is quickly glossed over. We never really saw D-Day from aviators' perspective in other media afaik. A missed opportunity here. The only good P-51 action was the 4 Red Tails going against ground targets in southern France. -
Napoleon took Moscow and got him nothing. The Nazis besieged it and got nothing. And with crazy dreaming-of-the-glory-days Putin in charge, it would be another history repeat. The guy would nuke Moscow if it fell in enemy hands.

Watch, Watched, Watching: Watching Severance and working for Lumon

I re-watched Highlander after many years. I forgot how ridiculously hilarious this movie can be. And I must have watched a different cut this time around, because I don't recall the WW2 scene. I'm sure the Henry Cavill remake is going to be less campy, but I hope there will still be some humor in it. -
Oppenheimer has pretty much cleaned house. 7 Oscars. Good for Nolan that he finally got one and I'm happy for Murphy and Stone.

The Buntaro scene was good. The fight in the forest was a bit static, as you could see extras in the background just staring at the main actors without doing anything. The fight choreography, when focused on a few characters, has been good. I liked the scene with Yabushige and the bandits. He and his men are really efficient in killing the unsuspecting bandits.

Dune part 2: the spoilers must flow (Spoilers for the movies)

This baron is clearly fatter than the Lynch one. He's just as evil and and just as scheming. It's just that he isn't outwardly unhinged. -

I just watched segments of Katie Britt's rebuttal to Biden's state of the union and I can only conclude that she was really auditioning for the next Red Alert game cutscenes. -
Releasing a game about surviving an ice age in the middle of summer. Classic.

I was slightly annoyed, too, but in case there won't be a season 2, it now becomes a matter of interpretation. -

Finished Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The last 2 episodes really elevated the show and both leads gave excellent performances. The end scene had a bold open end.
