  1. Or they are different people who think that particular episode was crap for different reasons. I voted 1 on episodes 1 and 5 and 9 for this one. Other episodes I've given votes from 4 to 6.
  2. I agree not including a shortened version if not the full one was a mistake. Unless you consider the speech about "foraging" and killing to be the Broken man speech which I wouldn't. In my original post I kind of forgot it, it's not something I've been looking forward in the same way as Euron, Wyman and Doran giving their big speeches but if you're going to do Meribald/Elder Brother you really should do the Broken man speech.
  3. Best episode since season 4 at least. We get Lyanna and the Hound, KL had some good scenes, Blackfish&Jaime was good. A good talk about trebuchets and the Riverlands is golden. I have to go down to the dumbness of both Arya and the Waif in the assasination scene and Sansa not closing the letter with the seal to see clear faults in this episode.
  4. I'll probably check on the series next season to see if they manage to pull the Ironborn off, but let's just say I wont be counting months.
  5. Stannis having a Shireen bbq because Ramsay and 20 good men miraculously burned his supplies was a minus, but not because Shireen died, and it wasn't the main reason I voted 1. If we ignored Stannis' motivation for the burning it would've actually been a good scene. The Pit scene was way worse, when it was one of the scenes I thought could be really great this season. Dorne was bad too, but I've pretty much given up on that monster by now.
  6. You do realize it's not the same people giving 1 for every episode? For me 1 would be the lowest Game of Thrones could possibly descend to, not the lowest TV could go.
  7. I know, I know! Great writing would be doing it with five scenes where you see the a logical progression from a loving father to a murderous fanatic and the perverted motivations that led to the slide to villainy.
  8. Obviously you're wrong. You might say that most don't care, though I doubt you could get accurate polls on that. It made a dramatic scene, not better TV. Targaryens died of the Great Spring Sickness same as everyone else. Greyscale would make for a poor curse against the Freehold if it didn't work against the dragonlords. Though I don't think a touch always transmits the book greyscale either.
  9. This. Balon "he who may never die" Greyjoy hasn't even died yet, what reason does Stannis have to think that burning Shireen could bring anything good? When Stannis finds out he isn't some prophesied saviour this will break him. No, it really isn't. And don't go on thinking they are all, or even most of them, for the burning of Shireen. Doran really needs to show he has plans beyond just bowing down to the Lannsters.
  10. WHAT? The pit was supposed to be a moment of badassery for Dany. A scene where she takes control of a rampaging dragon with a whip and fury. Instead we get whimpy nosetouching. Please don't let the show mess up your enjoyment of the books :crying: The Riverlands wasn't far enough?
  11. The Pit had the potential to be a big plus for the season, and they fucked it up. I don't think the Stannis part was that bad, but it makes him just as fucked up as Ramsay and is going to piss off a lot of his fans.
  12. Hardhome was great. I think the Pit might manage to top it. This was a deviation I'm not unhappy about. I think the Cersei scene would have been better if she'd been deprived of sleep instead of water and asked if she wants to confess instead of being told to confess. I don't know how I would have done it better, but the interaction between Dany and Tyrion seemed awkward to me. 9/10.
  13. I don't remember, could be that he never was and this is just the first time I notice it.
