I see the problem on my phone as well. I don't quite know why it's happening, but I'm going to try and get the developer SDK so I can debug it on my windows machine.

Via Sparks, looks like some database indexes are getting very large and need optimization. That's a big task with the size of the forum, so I'll try and do it at some early morning period this weekend -- it'll entail shutting down access to the forum for awhile (what "awhile" is, I don't know).

1) Middle-aged, somewhat overweight, clearly unhealthy: ravaged by gout that has swollen his joints, a man constantly suffering, kept going mostly by willpower and heavy use of milk of the poppy (an opiate). A kind face, but very, very weary. I admit, thanks to fan casting discussions, Edward James Olmos has struck me as a fine example of what he could look like, though of course he's rather a lot older. 2) About the right age to the character, but much leaner than I imagined. But I think he can absolutely carry out the weariness and kindness, as well as the hunger for justice and revenge. He's not quite what I imagined, but I think he's a very good choice for the role. 3) Seen him in Deep Space 9, Syriana (a role that, I think, isn't terribly far from Doran in some ways), DaVinci's Demons (just the one episode, that was enough!). Oh, also, Kingdom of Heaven. I actually quite like him, and will pay a bit more attention to a film/show if I know he's in it. Happy to see him in GoT. 4) Other than his brief appeaerances in HBO's introduction to the new characters, I'm not sure he's done any interviews regarding the role. If he has, I've missed them, or I've forgotten them.

Very sorry about this. Their engineering team is trying to reproduce the issue, but the problem is that so far no one can. Please post on the tower of fire thread and provide information on your location (generally, like continent), what device you're using, what browser you're using, and maybe with enough reports we can finally find out what the problem is.

Tapatalk would be the correct app. I think Invision's iOS app may also still be around... or maybe they pulled it ahead of the IPB 4.0 release, not sure.

It's a server issue. Have restarted PHP-FPM to see if that helps.

My view is that yes, the book that is presented at court is indeed titled The World of Ice and Fire (no subtitle, or at least a very different one from the real-world book).

Make sure to clear your cache and then reload. Could be that our CDN had a hiccup and sent incomplete pages.

Ah, yes, we inadvertently solved the issue when we went and fixed permissions on the folders. Glad that sorted it out. I find it difficult to find a brief way to convey the nuance of such a policy, I admit. Any thoughts on that?

Random comment: still no solution to why images can't be resized. Not a forgotten issue. We hope to get an upgrade going again in the next couple of months, give or take, and so at worst that may solve it... but hopefully we'll find something sooner.

I'm quite unfamiliar with how wiki handles that stuff. How do you resize images, generally?

Targh, I've contacted our advertising partners. In fact, I've noticed a proliferation of gambling ads as well and am going to see if we can just get rid of those. Don't have any moral qualms with gambling, but they always give sites a seedy quality. haakon, Mail me at [email protected], look at whatismyip.org, and send what your IP address is on your PC. You're probably falling foul of an old IP block.

We think it's a malware ad being served to us by accident. Have notified the ad network. IF anyone can capture information -- which ad appears when this happen, any HTTP addresses related to them, etc., that'd be helpful.

I'm not exactly sure what controls that aspect of things in wikis. Will have to research, but with a trip next week and another a week after... may take awhile.

Get a client. Mac, we recommend Atlantis. Windows, MUSHClient, SimpleMU, Potato all work.
