  1. I missed the battle scenes and I wasn't too keen on the whole Bronn/Tyrion/Shae slumber party, but the negatives far outweigh the positives on this one and I'm more then willing to give it a 10. The final scene just wrenched my heart right out with how perfectly it was performed even though I knew everything that was about to happen. So sad. :crying:
  2. Best episode to date, GRRM should be scripting every episode (though then we wouldn't be getting Dance with Dragons in July :leer:). Aside from a few editing and production errors, this episode had me in its grasp from start to finish; the first 10 from me. Some highlights: I'm sure I'm missing a few things.
  3. I give it a 6...the worst episode to date. The porn scene was really off putting and drawn out to the extreme...I don't mind throwing in some sex and nudity but ~5 minutes of pretty hardcore girl on girl sex is way over the top. Not to mention it totally overshadowed the importance of what Littlefinger was saying. Tywin is a disappointment in his first appearance, and Robert's death was poorly done in my opinion. I don't think Ned even shed a tear or gave any indication that he was incredibly upset at the passing of his best friend. Thankfully the episode ended on an upswing as the final throne room scene was done well. I also enjoyed the Dothraki scenes (for once) and I think Khal Drogo finally stepped up and gave an excellent performance. All in all, I hope the next episode is better and that the hardcore porn doesn't reappear.
  4. Samwell Tarly boosts it from a 9 to a 10. They've made him a good source of comic relief that seems to be in line with his character...though hearing him tell the tale of how he came to the Night's Watch was very chilling. My girlfriend turned and looked at me and said "That's mean!" :drunk:
  5. I loved it, definitely a 9/10. Though the story itself did not really progress, the episode still flew by to me. I was shocked when I was reveling in the awesomeness of Syrio Forel and then the episode ended; especially loved the foreshadowing as Ned watched Arya dual with the wooden swords but heard the clangor of steel ones. Thought the scenes at the Wall were excellent, especially as Jon beat the shit out of everyone. :whip: Tyrion of course continues to do a crackerjack job, though I was disappointed that they had him tease Benjen about the Night's Watch instead of taunting Ser Alliser Thorne with a crab fork. Viserys getting owned speaks for itself, of course. :box:
