  1. "Only their shadows," Moqorro said. "One most of all. A tall and twisted thing with one black eye and ten long arms, sailing on a sea of blood."

I recall at the Battle of Redgrass Field mentioned by Barristan, along with the fight between Baelor and Maekar, we have the fight between Bloodraven and Bittersteel. Bittersteel was a dark haired strong warrior who was always bitter and angry and loathed his brother BR while Victarion is a dark haired strong warrior who is angry and bitter in the POVs we see him in and he loathes his brother Euron.

Bittersteel manages to fight BR, and take out his eye. I think Victarion will kill Barristan, but Barristan will take out Victarion's eye.

I always thought that vision was about Victorian's death floating in the bloody water.

  2. Victarion might not wait for Dany's return. He doesn't strike me as someone who'd wait for the return of someone who may be dead already. And he'd need a really good reason not to use the horn immediately on the dragons present in Meereen. He wouldn't want it to look as if he needs Dany's permission to tame a dragon.

Maybe he'll try using the horn to call back Drogon to Meereen, or use the horn on Drogon after Dany returns. A distinct possibility if Dany refuses to go along with his plans.

Victorian's plan was a smash and grab. Go in, captured Daenerys, control the dragons and leave. However Dany is not there, what will he do?

  3. Aerys and Rhaegar betrayed their "side" of the fealty contract first, so the Starks and Robert have justification.

Not saying they didn't. I am just saying I understand what Jaime did, as I would have done the same thing and I don't understand why he got the flak that he did for killing a clearly insane King before innocents got hurt,

  4. The scene in the book differs slightly, but the gist is Ned Stark was the first rebel Lord to find Jaime, and he instantaneously, no questions asked, judged him a traitor . When Jaime saw the reaction from Ned - condemnation, derision in his eyes - his Lannister pride took over, and from that instant on, refused to humble himself by explaining his actions to Ned, or anyone else for that matter. He saw Ned's condemnation as hypocritical and morally superior, and his own actions righteous, and wouldn't humble himself by asking for anyone's, least of all the ever so honorable rebel lords.

Also, and most crucially, once Tywin sacked the city and had Elia and her children murdered, no one would believe that Jaime, son of turncloak opportunist child murdering Tywin, had killed Aerys for any reason other than furthering his father's aims. This is how Ned came to the conclusion that Jaime is nothing more than a dishonorable Kingslayer.

That's the one thing that annoyed me about characters' treatment of Jaime. He broke his oath yes, but so did the Starks, Baratheons, Tullys, and Arryns who all swore an oath of fealty to the crown. Why was it okay for them to break their oaths, but not Jaime? Very hypocritical.

  5. Sorry, but I could care less about the dany-haters, they make no sense to me and I don't hear them.

Blood of the dragon came out a month before GOT. And anyway i know I'm right about Dany being the Protagonist, so ppl can say whatever they want and I'll still know I'm right about that subject at least through all these books I am sure about Dany.

Suzanna, I agree with you. I think George likes her too much for her to become the villian. But Dany haters want her to be the villian to justify their hate, as their reasoning is on pretty shaky ground. But that being said I wouldn't like to predict the remaining books at all.

  6. No one has mentioned on this thread you're scenario. I personally don't think the Dothraki will ever make it to Westeros. I don't see how a horde of several tens of thousands of Dothraki, their horses, and their women and children will fit on a bunch of boats and cross the narrow sea. There are theories out there that they may cross over the Lands of Always Winter via a land strait, but that also seems unlikely given how cold it is up there. Talk about under-dressed...

Unless of course the Narrow Sea freezes over.....
