  1. WTF happened to Dothraki ? Should we believe that after Daenerys was murdered they did not kill Jon immediately and then went about their business ? Which is pillaging, rape, murder...etc throughout the Westeros? Instead they waited meekly for months to be transfered back to Essos,so they can go about their business there ?
  2. Well, this episode must've been a shocker to non-readers. It was interesting to see how in this episode, they made small jokes here and there...every now and then..like they did it on purpose to catch people totally offguard when masscare begins. Also, by killing Talisa/Jane ..I think it is definitely clear that , in the books, Jane is not pregant (I never bought in to that theory anyway)
  3. No, but I see that you have. Good for u ;) My point was that we get to see meaningles Theon torture scenes , who is not in the book btw , instead of Daenerys - much like last year we had meaningles sex scenes while cutting out big parts of the book. There is no real need to see Theon now...as much as there were no need last year to see extra scenes to get that Geoffry is psycho.
  4. You read the books ? Amazing. Well so have I. What I find not funny at all is seeing Theon in every episode while he is not in the book.
  5. This show is falling of the wall. As I said on other thread (sorry for repeating myself) - Is this show still based on ASOIAF books ? Last year we had meaningless sex scenes instead a material from the books. This year we have meaningless torture scenes that are not in the books instead a material from the books. Where the frak, was Danerys ?
  6. Gave it 5. Is this show still based on ASOIAF books ? Last year we had meaningless sex scenes instead a material from the books. This year we have meaningless torture scenes that are not in the books instead a material from the books. Where the frak, was Danerys ?
  7. I gave it an 8. As was the case the whole seson it was great episode as TV show and terrible as adaptation. What the frak happened with the visions in House of Undying ? That is something that should not be omitted. Rob story was terrible. Pitiful ending that his character did not deserve. On the other hand, Theon part , also Jamie and Brienneand Tyrion and everything in Kings landing wre quite good. John Snow was so-and-so. Al in all, good ending to a great TV show but not-so-good book adaptation. Having just 10 episodes for the 2nd book was very bad. If they do the same for he 3rd it will be criminal. P.S. All the actors were great. However I stand to my opinion that Melisandre was poorly cast for the part and Asha is umentionable.
  8. Yet again I gave it an 8. And yet again it is 8-9 as TV show GoT and 5-6 as a book adaptation. Anyway, quality of the show is pretty even which is good. As the show progresses I am more and more pissed that they stuffed the book in 10 episodes . Even the titles of the episodes have no meaning - Prince of Winterfell...wyeah right...and we see Winterfell for about 2 minutes (ok its a couple more but you know what I mean) Now I kind of get it why they hooked Robb with this Volantis chick instead of Jane Westerling..so the TV audience can see him falling for her..etc BTW they have casted the actress quite good...good looking but not to lose kingdom for. But her back-story is dumb. However, this girl in the tv show looks like a character who would stop Robb from giving up his kingdom and breaking his word to Freys. While Robb in the books could never leave Jane Wetserling from poor but noble house after he "defiled her :) " Yet again I had to endure Asha/Yara Greyjoy. and it was excruciating. Instead of fierce, charming warrior character we got this dumb bully of a character. I laughed when she yelled and....silence filled the room....I mean..who is scared of big bad Yara ?
  9. Well. I gave it an 8 because it was good as a tv show GoT. As a book adaptation, it is deviating more and more...it would get 5-6 in that department maybe less. Most of the time its not that bad. I mean, characters get where they were going in the books only by some different route. I mean, both physically and mentally. It is more or less OK if they don't change their motivations and behavior. However there are some bad examples. Couple of episodes ago it was Littlefinger, who lost all his subtlety, and now it is Caitlyn. For, it seems to me that she will let Jaimie go, not only for love and fear for her daughters, but it will look as her hand was forced by Karstarks. So she'll let him go in order to prevent him getting killed for nothing in return. And that is...mmmmehhhhh Yes, and new Mountain was terribly casted. Get me someone tall....said the casting director...with a beard perhaps, that'll make him look more scary...
  10. Well, I,ve always seen Tywin that way. He is just pragmatic and men of his time. He never does evil things just for the kicks, he is not psychopath (like Mounatin) . There is always a reason for his actions.
  11. Gave it a 9. This episode was exactly why I scream every week at my screen: You can't shove a whole book in 10 episodes !!!!!!! I just settled and prepared for more when the episode ended. I have also started to notice that the show is straying more and more from the books , but I don't mind too much if they don't change the character motivations and personalities (as LF , for instance and I guess Asha) Brienne, Margarey, Stanis, Davos. Jaquen, Osha, Tywin...etc..etc everyone was great. This show got 95% of cast great, so far. I know that some people have problem with Stanis casting but to me he is just what he should be: charmless, joyless, strict...(only problem is that producers also did that with Asha/Yara character)
  12. I gave it a 7 because I didn't like the changes they made in regards to the books. Most of all the Littlefinger. For couple of episodes now he is exact opposite of subtle manipulator he is in the books. He reveals his thoughts and feelings to everyone. Littlefinger in the books would never taunt Cersei or Margarey in that way. I don't understand at all, why is Robs future wife (and that was probably her ?) a girl from Volantis instead from minor noble house but I don't care much althoug I don't like it. New Mountain was not as good as previous. Stannis and Renley were OK. And after the shadow baby whole scene with Stanis and Melisandre in previous episodes look less stupid (though Stanis still talks about the son....) Still don't like the Melisandre casting. Not enough fire in this actress and even physically is not what I expected. Edit: I already mentioned that on other thread... I don't mind sex scenes at all. However Jofreey & whores was unnecessary because it wastes time and does not tell us anything new. It is well known from the scenes with Sansa that he is psychopath.
  13. Gave it 9. Though it had some "in between" feeling. I liked Tirion and Margaery storylines and Brienne was well cast and acted.
  14. Gave it 7 because I love the books, would've been lower. Asha/Yara is TERRIBLY casted. Where did they find that fat girl with baby , plump face. I hoped that promo pics ere wrong but , alas.. As the stupid name change wasn't enough. There were some good and bad casting choices on the show. i.e Meliasndre was also casted poorly but compared with this ungodly abomination she looks almost good. Thing I hate most wih book adaptations is NOT when they omit or add parts but when they change nature of characters by changing the parts of the book (like in LOTR) In season 1 they used those little changes to show us something about the character that is in the book but what could not be put in a show. However I don't know to what end is all this Melisnadre/Stanis ; cercei/Littlefinger ; Tyrion/Spider.... scenes So far I dont see what does this changes add to the story. p.s. I hope, at least, that they make another change and kill that terrible asha/yara so I dont have to look at her fat face anymore.
  15. I liked the episode. Gave it an 9. Melisandre looked terribly miscast. Stanis was OK, if he was not what I imagined they made it up with letter writing scene.
