They keep denying Roose his best lines. At this point I fear we'll never get to see "rue the day I raped your mother..." :frown5:

Oh, further Unsullied speculation on whodunnit:
a few people already suspect THE PIE, not the wine, was poison, since Joffrey was the only one who ate pie.
Given how often people on here have suspected the pie was poisoned instead/as well, I thought that was interesting to see.
I have a long week of reading reaction threads ahead of me... :)
If they poisoned the pie they would have been planning on mass murder, not just offing Joffrey

The whole Bolton segment was great, everything about it, fat Walda, the dynamic between Roose and Ramsay.
But no "rue the day i raped your mother..." :crying:
C'mon GRRM, quit cutting out your best material!

I also hate what they're doing with Robb and Cat's arcs. DD spent wayyy too much time in Kings Landing so far. When Cat, who is an actual POV character by the way, gets like one line per episode. It's going to make people not care when the RW happens. I've read so many posts with people saying they're ready for it to go ahead and happen. for the RW being the biggest event of this entire season, they surely aren't doing a good job at showcasing the characters involved in it. They need to lead up to it better.
THEN any scene we do get of the King in the North, Blackfish is always just flailing around being a jerk. Continuously threatening Edmure isn't being a badass. He is being an asshole.
People also say that Bran doesn't get enough scenes, and he doesn't. Stop giving people who don't do much in the books gratuitous three minute scenes. Just skip them that episode and focus on the characters who do have things to do.
I agree with everything here except about Bran. I think most of his scenes so far have been useless and boring

The mutiny at Crasters always bugged me since i first read it in the book. Seriously, why would Mormont be so protective of Craster? he is a twisted wildling who starves Mormonts men to death while constantly trying his patience. i dont buy the "We need men like Craster" BS. if they needed his keep they could just set up a garrison from the NW to guard it and feed the pigs.
Because allies beyond the Wall are useful. The NW doesn't have a responsibility to Craster's wives/daughters, only to the "realm" South of the Wall. And violating Guest Right is taboo no matter how shitty your host is

The show was true to the books in this scene.
Except Blackfish didn't act like such a douche in the books - he comforted Edmure for missing, and kindly offered to take the shot

Loved the way Dagmer looked at the two boys running in the courtyard. I think it's safe to say that the scene Alfie was talking about in episode 10 is the reveal that Dagmer is Ramsay. I personally love this and have come to terms with the changes.
Waldau's portrayal of Jaime is mind blowing. Next season will be amazing for him.
New mountain did ok in this episode.
I think they had to change the Quarth storyline to keep people interested as the book Dany storyline got stale from Clash till The very end of Dance IMO so there will be many more changes in the next few seasons.
I have to say that I think Alfie is the standout actor this season. I really enjoyed Tyrion in the beginning but damn they are just doing a fantastic job with the Theon arc.
Dagmer = Ramsay makes no sense

In the books Renly was OK with Robb calling himself "King in the North," as long as he still bent the knee and pledged his fealty to the Iron Throne once Renly won. This didn't really make sense to me (I've never heard of a historical situation where a King ruled over another King - Renly would have to be Emperor or something) but I guess they kept it the same in the show

Theon sequence with the letter and the reconsecration is my favorite sequence in these four episodes.
It was very good, and it illustrated the impossible situation Theon is in now. By burning it he closed the door on his connection to the Starks forever

God, must people hate on everything new? Davos and Sall were great in this episode. Yara is a good fit as well. Warrior women shouldnt be beautiful - she was sexy, which is all that matters as far as her looks are concerned. And she played the role well

Can someone please summarize the scene with Littlefinger and crying Ros - I'm totally lost. I have a hearing loss and even with headphones on and the sound cranked, I could not quite make out the entire convo since he whispered the entire thing. Ugh, frustrating! Who was the guy she was supposed to service and didn't? What's the story Littlefinger tells her about? I got the gist of it that she's really upset about the murder of the baby and LF is telling her about another woman (and that's the parts I couldn't hear right) -- would like hearing someone else's take on it.
She's traumatized by the baby-killing. Littlefingers acts like he's going to comfort her, putting his arm around her and whispering and such. But then he tells a story about a beautiful Lyseni whore he once bought who acted similarly depressed, and therefore couldn't get customers. "I hate bad investments...they haunt me," he tells Ros. Then he tells how he eventually sold this Lyseni to some Lord who wanted to "transform her", as a way of mitigating Littlefinger's losses. It was all a not-so-veiled threat to Ros: get your act together, youere here to make money, not cry and drive away customers.
What he meant by "transform" I don't even want to know. Sounded like some Qyburn shit

Yea, Littlefinger was actually scary in this episode. Again, that's a feeling I never got from him in the books, but it's better than coming off stupid like he did last week.

Euron seems like he wouldn't have much problem with the ladies. That bastard girl is all over him after he takes her father's castle on the Shields, and I don't imagine his bastards came from rape (why would he go back 9 months later to collect the kid after raping some random woman in a foreign land?). The Kingsmoot showed his charisma.
When you consider that the woman was a "salt wife," kidnapped by big, dumb, no-game Victarion, it's not hard to see how she'd come to Euron willingly.
