  1. Miles's stupidity dangerously approaches Danny's from the last season. And everything points out at some kind of riot on Mars, which would be massively stupid.
  2. So they sacrified their own Su-25 to do that or what?
  3. Yeah, strong start. And Oldman's Lamb is just so much Lamb from the books. The whole cast is great too.
  4. So who kills the bear? Now I need to know.
  5. Probably, it's because they can (say anything).
  6. It's not bad, it's mediocre. Especially in comparison to the rest of the series. It's a smooth read though, so I probably would give it a try if I were you.
  7. Seems like another mediocre standalone inbetween like Season of Storms. I would so much prefer if he ever decided to write about Dijkstra, Boreas Mun and Isengrim Faoiltiarna after what happened in The Lady of the Lake.
  8. Yeah, I liked it too. Not usually a fan of jumping into multiple time frames, but it worked quite well here.
  9. Considering Antarctica's traffic, yeah, that makes sense. I wonder if they even gonna explain Danny's fate at all, or just leave it like that.
  10. This is one of the best short stories from Sword of Destiny. I really hope they won’t fuck it up. Just stick to the text, it’s great.
  11. Actually you seem more determined to hate it than others here determined to like it. I don't know if I'm gonna like it or not, but I won't make up my mind until I see it, which I plan to do next weekend. Few friends who already seen it said it was funny and generally ok. So it's not like the reception is universally bad or something.
  12. Well, then she’s erratic against Iga much more often than against any other player, given how consistent she was this past year.
  13. I don't know man. Iga now leads their h2h 6-3, with five of these victories being easy, two-set matches, while all three defeats were tough three-setters that could go either way. Just a few weeks ago, in Tokio, she lost to Kudermetova (with all due respect, who is Kudermetova?) after perhaps the worst performance she gave in the last three years, having made more than 50 unforced errors in a single match. And yet it just took her few more weeks to destroy 5 of 8 highest ranked players in the world, including #1, #3, #5 and all other grand slam champions of the year. Either she's unstoppable with her A game, or there's something terribly wrong with other girls' ability to present their A game.
  14. Yeah, it was surprisingly one-sided. I knew Iga was in her zone again, especially after she has beaten Sabalenka, but so was Jess, or at least so it seemed until the final. 20 games lost overall in a WTA Finals tournament is unbelievable (second Serena lost 32). I wonder if it shows Iga's dominance or women's tennis weakness more though.
  15. The weather conditions at the WTA Finals in Cancun are a fucking joke. As well as everything else about this tournament for that matter. This really is mostly unwatchable.
  16. It captures the book, which is brillant, quite accurately.
  17. I don't want to sound like a douche, but how come it was you who called him and not the other way around, if it was him who missed you so much? And yet he still needs to think about seeing each other again. But I hope it will turn out the best for you.
  18. Let's just say such a conversation never ends well, unless this is what you consider shutting the door to her room in front of your face. Having said that, I still hope I'm overreacting here a bit, she hasn't passed out as far as I know, always comes back roughly when promised and still manages not to fuck the school up completely.
  19. Needless to say every attempt to try and talk to her about it results in accusations of being an oppresive parent and so on. Welcome to adolescence.
  20. Yup, first, it's a she, not a he. Second, it probably wouldn't be that much of a problem if it didn't start to repeat almost every weekend.
  21. I must say I kinda miss those kinds of problems with the kids. They're better problems than a 17 years old coming back home wasted problems. Or having to look for a therapist for a 15 years old problems.
  22. If someone accused you of bombing the hospital and killing 500 people, while in reality you didn't do it, and the real number of casualties was less than 100, you would only deny you did it and not say anything about the death toll? I don't know if they did it or not, but I'm not surprised they question the number even if they didn't.
  23. Free bed bug with every issue was funny though.
  24. That's a tough one to guess. He was pretty submissive to PiS demands so far and rarely did anything against their will, but on the other hand he doesn't have much to lose, as he can't run again and perhaps he will seek some form of cohabitation with a new government, counting for some kind of endorsement to land in an EU institution after his term ends. But I'm rather pessimistic on this. I think it will be Rafał Trzaskowski, president of Warsaw, who already run in 2020 and barely lost to Duda. The question is if PiS can find an appealing candidate and if two years of struggling and tensions between the government and the president impact the result (and which way).
