  1. I sure as shit hope you and your fellow TARGAs stick around after Winds comes out and that you all wait for ADoS, should be interesting to witness the collective meltdown.
  2. Cersei. All her talk about how much she loves her kids is bollocks imo. She does "love" Joffrey in the same way she "loves" Jaime. With Myrcella and Tommen it's exclusively about her; w/ Joffrey and Jaime it's also about her but there's a bit more there though I wouldn't call it love. What she loved about them is the reflection of herself she sees in them. ETA: I agree, Lysa and Sybell are horrible too. I feel sorry for Lysa b/c she's obviously unwell, whereas Sybell is just horrible. Cersei is still worse...
  3. The people making disgusting & idiotic jokes should definitely be aware of their surroundings.
  4. Well, this is the same bloke who called an MP’s constituency a shithole during PMQs. Maybe Cleverly is not so clever after all.
  5. No. But I'm sure a million people replying "no" won't be able to change your opinion. And that's fine, it's absolutely okay for you to think Cersei is less awful than others think she is. What I don’t understand is why you feel the need to try to repeatedly convince others that she is not as bad as they think.
  6. While I think it's better now than it was, say, in the 60s & 70s when the US was installing military dictatorships all over the world, in all the countries it now looks down on and calls "banana republics" because how dare these lowly peoples think they can decide for themselves who will rule them Kissinger mentality, it's still far from the lofty ideals that it aspires to. Too many neocons at State, I guess. The talk is spot on, but it's again a case of "watch what they do, not what they say".
  7. I agree, no one deserves that. I mean, certain individuals might, but definitely not a whole people/country. I struggle to understand all the praise, if that's even the right word, that Israel gets b/c "democracy!" even when it doesn't really behave like one. The other thing I don't understand is the notion that all Muslim countries will never be true democracies b/c... reasons? I mean, we know the vast majority are ruled by nasty royal families or religious fundamentalists and that their rule crushes any popular/civil movements but that doesn't mean the bast majority of the people in these countries want to live under these oppressive regimes. Another thing that bugs me no end is this idea that America is helping democracies the world over. It's a lie. Yes, it may be the case at times, but it's very much the opposite in other instances. In other words, America is helping burgeoning democracies when it is in their best interest. In cases where their best interests align w/ those of the oppressors and/or invaders then that's who they will align with, like with Morocco and Western Sahara. While the UN recognised WS as an independent country, Trump went against that and as far as the US is concerned, WS belongs to Morocco. Candy bar to whoever guesses which is the only other country in the world that did the same? Worse, Biden never reversed that back. And worst, WS is fairly democratic, there's no terrorist activity, and is the Muslim country where women have more rights than any other. So much for "helping democracies".
  8. Watching this wonderful and funny and darkly funny, character-driven show called High Desert. Great cast, led by wonderful Patrícia Arquette. Had never heard of it, found it by chance while browsing Apple+.
  9. Last post from the previous iterarion:
  10. Where do the names/titles of these theories come from though? There are a few that are referenced in different ways by fans...
  11. Yeah, I agree. There's also the fact that opting out helps the crazies push the "too old cognitively impaired" narrative. On a side note, did anyone see a photo of tRump w/ some weird wedge-type stuff under the front of his feet at a rally? It was very odd and some were speculating what the hell they were for. Some people said they're used to help w/ balance? I don't remember where I saw it and was wondering if anyone had seen it and had any idea about the purpose.
  12. I do wonder about the above... Given the absolute mess w/ government officials messages to one another and particularly the content of these messages, then the top 3 officials inexplicably losing thousands of messages, the unashamed & constant lying, the many sex scandals, and so much more - how much of an expectancy of privacy did Cleverly really have? More to the point, though, as @The Anti-Targ said, he is a public figure, a senior government official, and should really behave in a manner that is above reproach. I also think part of the problem here is the very cozy relationship between some politicians and journos/the media. Meaning, he probably felt "safe" to make the disgusting joke b/c he saw it as an event where he was among friends. But how is the media supposed to report credibly when the relationship between reporters and reported is, at the very least, very friendly?
  13. I don't really understand the comparability of baggages between Biden and the twice-impeached four-times criminally indicted sexual ofender who will be running against Biden, but what do I know. Anyhoo, Gym Jordan sucks.
  14. Santorum is gone, that's good. He's just repulsive.
  15. And Staz Nair, who plays one of Dany's bloodriders I think? So a few GoT alums in Rebel Moon.
  16. 24th? 25th? Today? Whenever it is, happy birthday!
  17. I did see the date. The point is, positions were reversed then, and yet I didn't see anyone complain about Israel unwillingness to deal w/ the terrorists then, even though they seem to be willing now. I don't know whether the murder of the 3 hostages put some pressure on the Israeli government to try harder to get more hostages. Perhaps that's what changed for them, especially in light of the reporting by Yuval Abraham linked up thread, w/ quotes about the hostages "not being a priority".
  18. https://www.timesofisrael.com/hanegbi-israel-wont-negotiate-with-hamas-on-hostages-now-will-remove-it-from-power/ "Hanegbi: Israel won’t negotiate with Hamas on hostages now, will remove it from power" There's a ton more outlets w/ similar stories. I won't tell anyone to "go bitch to Israel" or whoever b/c I don't think that's what we are supposed to be doing? We have many people participating in these threads w/ very different opinions, but that's part of a healthy debate IMO.
  19. A "win-win that we need to continue", according to Blinken.
  20. I’m determined not to air any grievances! This year it’s “serenity now”, all in!
