I'm convinced that come the end of Winds of Winter, Barristan Selmy will have been killed off. Firstly I think he was only elevated to POV status for expositional purposes, ie to provide a window into the Yunkaii story arch whilst Dany and Jorah were absent. That purpose will soon be removed and we will have four POV characters in one location - Victarion, Dany, Tyrion, and Selmy, and it's too many. Jorah will be back as well, and though he is not - as of yet - a POV, he still offers an alternative confidant to Dany, and as a character is far more complex and compelling. Basically Selmy is a redundant character and I'm sure he will be prime candidate for removal. Odds on he's toast. I'm looking forward to Jorah's return and redemption, because he is such an obsessional character. I think there's one more big betrayal in him yet.
