  1. Sure it didn't have some of the scenes we wanted to see, but it set up Season 4 great, plus we'll still get those amazing scenes we want in season 4. I'm giving this one a 10.
  2. I was really hoping for a final scene with UnCat. It would have fit the "Mhysa" theme of the episode perfectly.
  3. Yeah that would make more sense, but I guess the show writers wanted Jon and Ygritte to have an intimate moment to show that she still loves him and vice versa. It's hard to show that without the internal dialogues you have in the books.
  4. It appeared to be staked onto the body with a wooden pole. It was heart breaking.
  5. This episode would have been 100x better if Balon had looked at the box for a moment and gone "yup... that's Theon's alright"
  6. Do you think the rather shocking foetus stabbing is an intentional attempt to brutally put the Jeyne Westerling theories to rest?
  7. I was hoping for a punk rock version of "Rains of Castamere"
  8. Very solid episode. Among my top rated of this season. I gave it a 9.
  9. You mean they would just end one part of the story halfway through another part of the story. Don't be silly, no writer in their right mind would do something like that.
  10. I don't get it. The writers are fine with the be-headings, torture scenes, maiming, and fatal battle injuries, but god forbid they show a CGI bear getting killed with arrows.
  11. I don't get it. The writers are fine with the be-headings, torture scenes, maiming, and fatal battle injuries, but god forbid they show a CGI bear getting killed with arrows. EDIT: oops, I thought I was in the discussion thread, but still my point stands.
  12. It was a real bear. The actress who played Brienne had to sign an enormous contract. You know, with all the legal stuff and all with filming in an enclosed area with an enraged bear.
  13. well in all fairness they just depicted a guy getting his weiner chopped off.
  14. Ever since I read the scene with Dany taking Astapor I've been waiting to see it. I was not disappointed.
  15. They took a risk with slapping the viewer in the face with that credit song, but I LOVED IT.
  16. Yeah, and I mean book readers know how the season's going to end anyway, so why bother making the show?
  17. Kinda hard to say they dumbed down an arc that isn't in the books. I think Theon's arc is quite plausible.
  18. I generally only reserve 10s for truly exceptional episodes so I gave it a 9, but I'd give it a 9.5 if I could.
  19. fantastic TV adaptation. I feel much more enthusiastic about this season than I did after watching episode 1 of season 2.
  20. Now I understand why GRRM only dealt with the battle of Blackwater in his episodes and no other storylines... The writers of the show have already diverged the other story lines so far from the books there's little use in GRRM standing in to do the writing for them.
